Kentucky would not be denied tonight. Arkansas had an uncharacteristically poor shooting night. They got plenty of open looks from three but they couldn’t get anything to fall.

Well, youngster, just like Indiana did against Tennessee. It happens and like Tennessee, Kentucky took advantage of it.

She was useless for the first 3Q, but really turned it on in the 4th quarter. She's a great change of pace option at PG.

Kentucky has a nice, balanced team. Howard must be thrilled to have so many scoring options around her.

Ironically I believe that the multiple scoring options is what is causing our offense to look so stagnant and out of sorts... I don't think the coaches and the players that have been here know what to do lol every play looks like it's supposed to run through her (as it should), but Howard doesn't seem to be as aggressive as I think Elzy wants her to be.. I think Howard is more confident in the parts around her this year than they are themselves. Tonight in the 2nd half was different for her as she took over, but roles within the team definitely still look like they are trying to iron those out.

I'm always happy with a win though lol and your former vol Jaz was HUGE for us in the final 10 minutes (can I say thank you for her? lol)

Of course you can... Can i say thank you for UK not giving $400 (i think that was the cost) for moving expenses which cemented Pat in staying at UT?

Like i said before SC MSU KY ARK don`t shoot light`s out from the 3 but they have players that cause match up problems for the other team.

Yes we can win the game and we can match there size Carter 6-5 plays more at the 5 and Crooks 6-4 plays more at the 4. GA won the battle on the glass but just to many UF turnovers and missed a lot of easy shots.

Arkansas shot the ball really poorly. I didn't see anything Kentucky was doing on defense that was better than ours. Arkansas had plenty of wide open looks from the three shot 5 for 21. It will be our luck that we'll guard them better and they still will make a bunch of threes. I think the best way to play them is to slow the game down and limit their possessions. You should be able to pound them on the boards but Kentucky was only plus seven in rebounds. The game came down to Kentucky making some fabulous shots and winning the percentage 50 percent to 38 for Arkansas.

I also watched the Alabama vs Missouri game and Bama has a center that didn't miss any layups unlike our team. She made nine of 11 and that was totally why they won. The main problem with our team being at the same level as most every SEC team is a post player that is actually someone that we can depend on to be effective. Key is effective on defense for the time she can play without getting in foul trouble KK misses to many easy ones to say we can rely on her. Bama will be a very tough game for us as tough as any we play.

Also Arkansas likes to drive and kick the ball out for the 3. Dungee and Destiny Slocum are the two players that like to dribble drive. But late in the game Kentucky length at guard with Mass 6-1 in the game gave Arkansas problems in the end.

Exactly right. You have to really slow the game down or Arkansas will torch you Kentucky did a good job of that most of the night. Got burned a few times on quick shots. If you quick shoot the ball and miss Arkansas is going to score off of it. Really like their freshman forward, Barnum, she runs the floor and likes to play in the transition game.
