You said Dobbs didn’t develop much here, That’s wrong. You said he was an average downfield passer, wrong again. And you said he wasn’t a top 3 QB that year (then went on to say the 3 above him weren’t good), oh look wrong again.
Top 3 is a subjective judgment. He trailed behind those guys in some stats, was better than them in some other ones. I just think that the stats combined with having watched all those guys played would put him outside the top 3.

And yes, Dobbs got better the longer he stayed here but didn't develop like he could have. Do you think Dobbs reached his potential at UT?

Won't happen, but wouldn't be a dumb move. The biggest argument against him is that he runs a gimmick offense in a weak conference. That will give a lot of bigger teams pause. If he were to move to a big time school as an OC and show his offense can adapt, a lot more doors will open for him. I'm sure a mid-tier school will give him a shot in the near future, but not sure he's as high on people's lists as you think.
Who says he runs a gimmick offense? Most everyone thinks he runs an innovative offense. Only ones calling it a gimmick are on this board.

We're down two, two contracts are expiring and there are a few more that need culling. Normally, continuity would be good, but it won't be a bad thing to shake things up this year.
Just kicking the van down the road. It’s not a good thing ever to have such massive assistant turnover every year.

It's very fun to watch how the triple option is merged with zone and rpo type offense ... very innovative.
I'd like to see it on a higher level with more talented players (of course it'd be defended by more talented players as well, but it didn't seem to matter when they played BYU).

It’s not subjective. I have stats aka facts to back up my opinion. You have nothing more than an opinion and the only thing you brought up to back up your argument was was .1 YA behind Kelly and .3 YA behind Allen so he wasn’t a good down field passer. Which again doesn’t determine downfield passing, Tennessee threw a lot of short passes. One of Debord’s biggest problems was calling plays with the primary read running his route short of the First down

Improving at the position year-over-year is different than ultimately becoming a really good downfield passer.

Sure, he got better as time went on, but I don't think he ever became a great downfield thrower. He was terrible as a freshman, and was probably average to slightly above average by his senior year.
Dobbs passing as a senior is underrated. He looked pretty good.

It's going to cost more to keep him than to fire him. Wait and see. He'll be out by mid season next year. Maybe not officially but it'll be a forgone conclusion. We'll have new assistants to buy out, attendance will be laughable. The roster will look like Vandy in our game this year. No coach worth his weight in fruit-of-the-looms will want to come here.

I have sent my email to the chancellor, essentially saying no change is simply kicking the can down the road, we have been in the cellar to long. Time to make a change for the better and thanks for your time.
What’s her email? I need to roast her...I must roast her.

It just seems like it would make more sense to go with another staff and HC completely. I also realize we are talking about UT.
