5-7 next year.

We will see the usual "He did better" "Remember last year folks when the kids didn't get S/C or Spring, they are playing catch up" "Pruitt is close"

Going to be fun

I’m very confident Pruitt will be fired next season. The problem is it’s a year too late and just makes it more difficult for the next staff. Apparently Fulmer needs to be shown the door first or we are just going to make another piss poor hire.

You’re aware y/a has nothing do with down field passing.... right? But anyways. If he was so bad at downfield passing why did he have the most 20+ yards TD’s? And why was he only .1 behind Kelly in Y/A and only .3 behind Allen? You’re an idiot, bud
Having a high number of passing yards, adjusted for the number of attempts, does not indicate downfield passing ability? Huh?

Also, I never said he was a bad downfield passer. I've said that he wasn't great at it, and was never truly developed into a great one. The guys who were just ahead of him in some of these categories, FWIW, I don't think were great downfield passers either. Lock in particular I've always thought was overrated. It seems like your "great downfield passers" are going to be top 5 or 10 in those categories in any given season, and none of these SEC QBs we're talking about in 2016 were at that level.

I think you are conflating anything less than overwhelming praise for Dobbs as me saying that he sucked or something.

I’m betting we limp to 6-6, Pruitt gets a 5th year, and most of that ‘22 instate class goes elsewhere.

Hope I’m wrong.

Really? HC's at smaller schools never take OC jobs at bigger schools for 2 or 3 times the salary? Never happens.
Okay.
I'm stupid for thinking it.
Nothing to see here. Carry on.

Lol chill bro I’m not saying you’re stupid.

Guys at maybe an FCS school would do it. But I can’t think of any already FBS level head coaches that have done it. Maybe it’s happened?

A QB can throw a 1 yard screen that goes 50 yards and his next pass be incomplete and his YA will be 25 yards. A player can throw a 25 yard dime and then another 20 yard dime and his YA will be 22.5... Which player showed better down field passing? Understand how stats work and then come talk to me

You're convinced Dobbs was a great downfield passer...compared to who? Nathan Peterman? Quinten Dormady? Sean White? Baker Mayfield? Who? Are you conflating the phrase "not great" to mean "terrible" or something? I'm not saying Dobbs was terrible.

You’re moving the goalposts and I bet you aren’t even aware because you’re trying to win an argument rather than be correct.

“Dobbs didn't develop much at all during his 4 years here.”

That’s what you said.

And I don’t have the patience to follow up on the 11 other non sequiturs you've attempted

You said Dobbs didn’t develop much here, That’s wrong. You said he was an average downfield passer, wrong again. And you said he wasn’t a top 3 QB that year (then went on to say the 3 above him weren’t good), oh look wrong again.

Won't be the full season. Probably end up a 1 seed then cancel the tournament lol

As a football fan first, a Vol football fan foremost, I'm a little bummed I have to settle for Vols basketball.
We're not supposed to be a basketball school like Kentucky is ... oh wait, nevermind.

Enjoy bball while we have at it. At least the Vols are contenders at something. Who knows how many more games we'll get this season?
That is the next cup check to happen. Would be so UT to have our best BB team in decades and the season get squashed.
