No im asking for you to post an example of any recent rebuild
With no timetable put on it? I will buy your Mullen example. He helped get them back to were they were used to under Jackie Sherrill. Croom left him a few good players, but he did a bulk of the job. He's a good coach.

What a crock of ****.
2-8 here we come
Exactly. Wins against Bowling Green and South Alabama and that will be all for Pruitt. He won't beat Pitt and won't win another SEC game. He will be shown the door after being destroyed by Kirby or losing to Lane at Neyland.

@HankHill
Thought on Napier offense in SEC?

Their win against Iowa state was is really impressive. Going against a superior program is already tough enough... but one with a great coach is even harder.

I think his offense is very similar to butchs/debords. I think Salter fits that perfectly.

So... think butch’s core offensive philosophies but with someone who seems to be a better program manager.

After talking to a couple people this morning, I believe Pruitt will return.

I was told yesterday he was done and there would be announcement by Friday but this morning things changed dramatically. I do not think it is over but if I had to put a percentage on it I would say it’s 60/40 he returns. Pruitt has had conversations with the decision makers and presented a solid plan that included direction of his staff, making instate ‘22 class and beyond more of a priority, and adding some ‘21 transfers to this class. The biggest part of his plans is focusing on being a head coach and delegating more to his staff both on the field and off. There were several relationships that have been damaged that need repaired on Pruitt’s and the University’s side. I am told this is Plowman’s decision to make. She has counseled with many including Fulmer, BOT, former players and current boosters. Again, no decision has been made. Could come at any time between now and Sunday but I do believe Pruitt returns unless something very damning comes out of the investigation and at this point I believe it to be minor. I do believe an assistant coach could be the fall guy.

Like I said these things are fluid (although some can’t wrap their mind around that) and can take unexpected turns. I didn’t see any way after what all I was told he could be back but here we are. After hearing all this and the candidate pool, I believe it is best he returns next season. I do believe they will give him every resource to be successful next season within reason. I also believe that his seat will remain hot and he will need to show a lot of progress next season. If he is not I believe they will move swiftly and have a plan in place. They were not prepared for this season to be as bad as it was along with all the off the field issues. Again, it’s not completely over and nothing would surprise me at this point but I believe Pruitt returns.

Flame away.
Lol. Welp, bob is a phony.

Here comes another trash season. Until people quit buying tickets and watching games nothing will change. UT knows people will show and they will get their money so no need to make a change. WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT WINNING.

He has been fired by everyone who follows cfb, including national sports reporters who mention the Tennessee job in context of other coaching searches. Don’t act like it’s just fans here. It’s pretty much everyone who even casually follows cfb.

Lol articles being written about him being on the hot seat and may be fired (what I’ve seen) is 1000x different than posters on a message board claiming their “sources” are saying it’ll be done tomorrow.

Again, if he had read actual news and not message board rumors then he would have known that there was no vacancy.

This is a common sense assessment of the situation.

Whether or not he should be fired is moot. He hasn’t been. And nobody except posters on message boards are saying that he has been fired.

Again I continue to ask.... Post one example of a rebuild then

MSU and Tennessee aren’t on the same level, buddy. Comparing them is ridiculous. Tennessee has some of the best resources in the country. We have of the highest coaching salaries in the country. One of the highest recruiting budgets in the country. Foh
Tennessee should virtually never finish below 7-5.

I shouldn’t have counted any wins honestly. Sticking with Pruitt and having to hire coaches that aren’t gonna want to be here on a lease doesn’t equal wins
