Does that include 3-4 blowout losses? If so it still isn't good enough. Beating South Carolina, Vandy, Mizzou and some G5 teams still isn't good enough in year 4.
you both are talking about a program that didn't go 3-7 the previous season.8 wins? With losses to Bama, UGA, and Florida? In year 4?
Extremely unimpressive... and would mean Pruitt is retained for beating the Vanderbilts and Kentucky's of the world. If you all were women, you'd be impressed by 5"
Mediocre or bad teams are just mediocre or bad.... conference doesn’t matter. Look at the non conf losses for SEC last year.I think Kellen Mond said it best.
“Texas A&M has no quality wins," Mond added. "All of these SEC teams that are 'MEDIOCRE' in the media’s eyes would run the table in some of these other leagues. Only a few teams out of the SEC can really play in the SEC."
In the same boat as you at this point. My biggest gripe with JP though is his defense is supposed to be his bread and butter, and we have consistently looked lost on that side of the ball.Seems that way. I won’t go hard in the paint defending him. Other than to say I’d like to see what he can do with a QB.
Seems to me every coach is mediocre until they get a legit QB.
Should he, in year 3, have had a better QB? Sure, but that’s another discussion.
We might have one now in Bailey. Salter looks like a future star.
I mean, everyone wants to point to Arkansas and yeah their turnaround was impressive. But what anchored it? QB play. Felipe Franks completed almost 70% of his passes and had a 17-4 td/int ratio.
Put JG on Arkansas and they’re a 1-2 win team.

Not sure if that is CJP "landing" them or they are just that diehard? Take Salter for example. He said he committed to Tennessee, not a coach.Mercy.
Reality is always somewhere in the middle and Vn doesn’t do the middle at all. This place is either the coach is the savior, he’s just fishing in different waters and going to catch them all or this take.
Pruitt has been a solid recruiter and we continue to be if he stays. He will land a number of these 22 in state guys. It won’t be as many as we wanted but it damn sure won’t be zero
