Recruiting Forum Football Talk III

He likely did. AP listed those names and said “you could go right down the line” of the guys he called.

Hate it for some of you but Hubbs said a number of those kids were glad to get the call to.

Seems the players and recruits don’t hate CJP as much as you all.
oh def think his players are super loyal. def think hes a high character guy. that's why you gotta take everything you hear about him with a grain of salt.

he may attempt to be demanding with his coaches and try that holding you accountable by holding yourself accountable bit. Works for some, not for others.

Infighting, complacency, incompetency and staffers who aren't all-in is another way to fail. There need to be some changes.
Can you elaborate on some of this ? You would think that these guys would be willing to work together to put a better product on the field because the better the product, the better the prestige and everything that goes along with that. Unfortunately, this reeks of Pruitt of being unable to lead and delegate properly. I imagine that his stubbornness and lack of experience has caused a great deal of these issues. If he stays, is there any way that he will be forced to allow his assistants do their jobs. You would think that Phil, whose greatest success came when he let Cut and Chief do their things would be influencing him to let his assistants do their jobs. It doesn’t sound like that‘s the case.

There’s gonna be a lot of salty Tennessee fans crysterbating to the Vols when we win 8-9 games with Pruitt at the helm next year.
Does that include 3-4 blowout losses? If so it still isn't good enough. Beating South Carolina, Vandy, Mizzou and some G5 teams still isn't good enough in year 4.

Sounds to me like Tee is leaving on his own, and Pruitt isn’t exactly upset about it. Lol.

Not a surprise they didn’t gel together given what we know.

It would be mutual. Tee's contract is up, and the paycut issue has caused a lot of friction within the staff. Fences aren't mending.

I don't hate the guy at all. He's just a sh!tty HC. Call a spade a spade.

Seems that way. I won’t go hard in the paint defending him. Other than to say I’d like to see what he can do with a QB.

Seems to me every coach is mediocre until they get a legit QB.

Should he, in year 3, have had a better QB? Sure, but that’s another discussion.

We might have one now in Bailey. Salter looks like a future star.

I mean, everyone wants to point to Arkansas and yeah their turnaround was impressive. But what anchored it? QB play. Felipe Franks completed almost 70% of his passes and had a 17-4 td/int ratio.

Put JG on Arkansas and they’re a 1-2 win team.

I keep seeing this guy. Who is he? A troll? UGA insider?

8 wins? With losses to Bama, UGA, and Florida? In year 4?

Extremely unimpressive... and would mean Pruitt is retained for beating the Vanderbilts and Kentucky's of the world. If you all were women, you'd be impressed by 5"

The funny thing to me is that we heard earlier that players have said the playbook is tough, but if you go and see what the kids say during their recruitment, it's always "Yeah I know what they run" "We do it here at my HS" or "I'm already learning the playbook, it's been tough but I have a good feel for it" etc.

More excuses.
