Aight, here's something to hold us over until we get some news one way or the other. Hopefully it's coming today.
Your avi? Why did you choose it? Mine's obvious. Smokey wants Freeze in Knoxville. What about yours?
Relationships with hs kids and their coaches are cultivated over time. It’s not plug and play as your post suggests. Part of what happened to butch was he botched those relationships in many cases. Pruitt has not. To think a new guy can come in and just grab those 22 kids is short sided. This is not a Madden game.

one other thing. imo, and experience, when you have, supposedly, this much indecision, and no one stepping out in front, that usually means one of the motives behind not making a decision is to have the abilty to assign blame later on to those that do ultimately make the decision.meh. if the indecision is as it's described, then i doubt anything happens, and you have to wonder what they're really gonna don in making any adjustments to the staff....and what it means headed in to next year, and beyond.
it's not impossible it turns around, but it likely requires pruitt changing some things he's not ever been willing to change or had a need to, so he's believed these as absolute truths, as far as his basic philosophy goes.
i think as usual, this ends relatively badly, and in 5 or 6 years we'll all be looking back at this just like we do the end of the 2011, 2015 seasons...woulda/coulda/shoulda.
it just doesn't sound like we have anyone over there that leads. a "get behind me, i know the way" guy....just a lot of indecision and uncertainty, as usual.

I'm 58, you must be an 'old soul'...Forty deux.
I recall Questers used to meet at old Bailey's in West Knox. Was living in Knoxville at time. Never could quite compell myself to meet up at that crap hole. Lloyd braun, Cajun, rednav, man the .25 was a wild place back then.
Did used to do VQ cookouts and pre game stuff. Honestly id rather watch paint dry than socialize.
The investigation news broke just after kickoff of the A&M game (our last game) on December 19th. Our bowl was announced on December 20th (not exactly early December) which is when Fulmer commented/mentioned CJP at sorting practice in 2021. Not sure where you're trying to go with this thought process but that is the time-line.So Fulmer talked about the present HC going to a bowl and Spring practice. That was early December I believe. Not sure what he was suppose to say at that time since CP is still HC but I'll give you that one. So what has he said since in reassuring that CP will be back? Cause I haven't seen anything since the investigation broke.
I agree With him. There’s really nothing else to do in Knoxville on a Saturday. Our fans are always gonna pack the house and buy gear.
Prospects also don't want to play for a bad team which is why even though we had relationships with TID, Green, Mims, and Mondon. We struck out, 0/4, and additionally lost two of our best recruits in McGhee and Wolfe (won't count Lewis here--but include him if you want as well.Relationships with hs kids and their coaches are cultivated over time. Agree with this 100%I think what you’re gonna see are more people just watching from homes rather than planning a day around travel, getting in and out of Fort Sanders, and sweating ass in the stands for noon kickoffs in September and early October.
I know that I have no interest in making that drive to watch opposing fans treat a game day like a pleasant stop on their way to Gatlinburg. And I damned sure ain’t buying season tickets any time soon.
Did you buy them before?I think what you’re gonna see are more people just watching from homes rather than planning a day around travel, getting in and out of Fort Sanders, and sweating ass in the stands for noon kickoffs in September and early October.

I can tell you that THIS season ticket holder will NOT be a 2021 season ticket holder if Pruitt is retained.
I also know around 8 others that are stating the same.

Yes, the only thing that makes sense is that Boyd and Plowman have yet to make a decision in either direction. It’s clear to me now that there are two camps from which people are getting info:
- one camp backs Pruitt and thinks he’s safe;
- the other doesn’t and can’t imagine Pruitt coming back.
I think neither camp knows what Boyd/Plowman are going to decide, and thus the constant hedging.
