Well, not exactly traditional powerhouses of college football was my point. I think we are stuck with CJP another year, but I will be interested to see what the ratings are in Knoxville for this bowl game. I can't really ever see CPF hiring Freeze with all of the NCAA stuff that was going on at Ole Miss when he exited, not to mention the other "issue."

About the NCAA and Freeze......it was said on VN that before USC east inquired about Freeze's interest in their open job, they vetted him through the SEC office and were green-lighted. Is that not accurate or has that been shown to be untrue? I'm not asking if its been proven, because such a thing likely cannot be done, but has it been shown to be untrue?

If they give Pruitt another year, they don’t deserve anything more than they’ve hired the last 3 times.

Freeze asked for an opportunity to coach his team. After the game, Freeze going to be announced as the HC of Tennessee football. Swag enhancement occurs because we win offseason coaching search after being completely defunct before.

First sign that Tennessee is coming back = no more coaching ridiculous offseason bs.

Fire Pruitt. Recruiting violations cancel his buy out. Hire Freeze. Tennessee back as a contender in year 1 of Freeze.

This is so incredibly obvious. I think Fulmer has a deal with freeze in place but he wanted to coach his boys at Liberty one last time before coming to Tennessee.

There is no chance they fire Pruitt for cause on recruiting violations then hire Freeze. If freeze is the target they can probably land him next year and fire Pruitt cheaper.
