I was there during those years when I was not working in Atlanta. I remember him and lots of the other guys. Pugs partner "Slab" was always around. :D

Really? That is awesome you remember him. I think he knew everyone in Washington Co. We couldn't go anywhere without seeing someone he knew.

I don't remember Slab, I was in elementary school at that time. Dad had a friend named Spud and I always wondered what happen to him.

Went thru it 20 years ago. Divorced, got custody of my three little ones, lost my dad and a good job all in the space of about 2 years. Was a very rough time.

You will get thru it and come out the other side a better man.. Hang in, keep moving forward and ask for help when you need it.. 👍
My wording was a bit off here and I want to clarify that getting custody of my children was definitely NOT a bad thing. I am forever thankful I got custody of my children. It was absolutely necessary and I'll just leave it at that.

Thru all that I gained a whole new level of respect for single parents. It's tough to raise your kids with little to no help from an x.

OK, sorry to rain on the party. Back to our regularly scheduled foolishness... 🤪

'Slabs" name was Dale, Pugs Partner. Seems I remember Spud as maybe one that worked for Pug? Your dad always occupied the best chair. LOL

Then what’s a floor to?

you are saying even the failure years should have 7 wins?

If so perhaps you need a refresher on the history of tenn football
Not at all. Tennessee history means nothin in THIS conversation. Look at Clemson history it’s not like these last 10 yrs. “History” only matters to the older generation (me included). Kids aren’t goin to Florida bc of history. There goin now bc there WINNING. We have 7 guaranteed wins every yr. And should win 8 or 9 consistently. I have no idea what history has to do with that.

The UT program’s all time winning percentage -and this includes the record setting lows of the last 15 years- is .675. 8 wins per year would be .667. 8+ wins is a successful year. 7 wins is acceptable. Anything below .500 is unacceptable.

So, uh, does anyone on here believe Pruitt has any chance whatsoever of turning this around next year?
I believe it is possible he can do enough to convince the more gullible of our fan base that he has turned it around or that he can turn it around.

But to answer your question, no. I don't think he will ever play for an SEC championship here.

Agreed

I would be working hard to get Gus if i was TN admin. He would be worth a buyout. We would compete for the east with him.
60th nationally ranked offense isn't going to compete for anything.

Bring in Gus if you can convince him to kiss and make up with the actual person responsible for winning any games at all the last 4 years.
