It’s possible, unfortunately, it’s just as likely that he goes 5-7 or 4-8. My biggest fear is that he does just enough to get another year to run it further into the ground.

The Pittsburg game decides it next year. I think we win rather easily but I’ve been expecting 7-9 wins every year for a decade now

So, uh, does anyone on here believe Pruitt has any chance whatsoever of turning this around next year?
I did think he could have a decent season with just better QB play, better OL play, and better execution on defense...BUT...I think the tsunami of negativity from all of this garbage has obliterated the chances of that happening now and he has got to go. There will be a massive cloud hanging over this program all the way through the offseason and the team will reflect that.

I’m sure I’m behind here. The outage map is nuts. My company in Louisville just advised of us intranet outages. I can’t wrap my head around the report gunshots beforehand. I personally did not hear any from the recordings Ive listened to/watched

My employer is in Clinton, near Oak Ridge and our network went down from it.

Yea, the word is the backup generators are supplied with natural gas so they had to shut that off to get things under control. Explains the 5-hr lag time for services to shut off... “delayed knee jerk” reaction... personally feels like a dry run. I don’t know.
I did not know about the natural gas, but that does make sense with the lag time.
As far as the bombing goes, I have no clue what to think. My first thought was wild suicide, but I definitely see the dry run scenario. To a distraction for something else taking place somewhere else. I just hope whatever it was Le gets it figured out quickly in case there is something else more nefarious going on.

Can he? Yes. We were a fluke game against Ga St. and a blown coverage against BYU from being 9-3 in year two. He went 5-3 in conference in his last non-covid year, and the progression looked up before the pandemic, which affected each program differently.

Will he? I'm not betting on it.

The ONLY chance would be to land a transfer QB like Burrow and replacing Chaney with an actual offensive coordinator. Neither will happen. No decent assistant will come here and recruiting will be average at best when it should be elite with this year’s class.

Optimistic that with a normal offseason, competent QB okay, hopefully an OL coach that gets the guys to play to their potential, and a deep RB room that we’ll turn it around.

You think that kind of OL coach is gonna jump onboard and play for a coach who’s seat is scorching hot?

Even Joe Burrow took a development year. I don’t think we could develop Joe Burrow.

They are a lot better than us right at this moment. They led the nation in sacks and tackles for loss and their QB is coming back for a 5th year with the covid rule. They were 6-3 in the games he played and two of the losses were by one point. Their RB had 250 yards in his last game.

So, share time for me. A little over a year ago my wife talked her cousin into going into rehab after he got a DUI and his license suspended. Dude was at rock bottom. He was broke, no car, no license, and hooked on opioids. He spent two months in the rehab facility, then moved in with us, and just started getting his feet under him when the pandemic hit.

Fast forward a year later. He’s clean. Stayed clean. He has his license back, and a full time job working with a contractor who been letting him drive a work truck back and forth from the house until he can get his own truck. The contractor is so scared of losing him that he’s been getting steady raises and they’re working out some health insurance options.

And the dude snuck my two amps out of the house... to get them repaired as a Christmas gift. I’ve been meaning to get them fixed for a couple years now and that just meant the world to me.

The world feels like a real crappy place sometimes, and I’m thankful my wife got her cousin back.

Happy holidays, everyone...

God I love redemption stories. Thanks for sharing. Right in the feels.

What’d you guys get for Christmas? I received scotch and an opportunity to assassinate Hitler.

My daughter got me a really cool gift. She purchased me a drive in a performance car at a racetrack. I get to choose from several cars including a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, a McLaren, a mustang Shelby gt500, and numerous others. The tracks are at many NASCAR tracks including Daytona, Talladega, Atlanta, and Charlotte. Can't decide what car to try.

Man if I was in your shoes I’d have to go with the Lamborghini at Daytona or Talladega. That’s an awesome gift
