Anyone else watching The History of SEC Football on SECN? Currently talking about the 70’s right now, pretty good stuff.

I was watching it earlier this morning when they were in the early 1900's. Fascinating stories. My wife eventually made me put it on something more "christmasy". But I will be revisiting that later.

Was reading the article on what Pruitt said about our running backs, so let me sum it up.

"Tiyon Evans, cant wait to get here, great premier back." (Drooled about him)

"Jaylen Wright, great vision, great speed, cant wait to get him here." (Again, drooled about him)

"Glad to have Cody Brown" (basically)

lol
Obviously looking for more speed and vision...explosiveness.

Brown reminds me of Hurd. Could be very good, but the "workhorse" backs are sort of marginalized these days in favor of rotating fresh legs with breakaway ability.

Wait, so if HB and Salter are the only qbs we have now, that would mean we should take 2 transfer qb’s. And not only that, we would probably have to take 2 qbs in ‘22 class, so we could probably get Horn and Simpson if we wanted to
Some seem to get giddy about guys transferring out "they're just taking up space!" When we'll now have to use more spots bringing in transfers which could very likely just end up a backup, like our last umpteen transfer QBs, while also costing us an initial counter.

And yes, I get "we were likely taking a transfer QB anyway" but definitely no more than 1 and besides...what GOOD QB in their right mind would transfer here rn? It's career suicide with this Chaney-Pruitt offense (if you can call it that...I call it our contra-defense account).

True workhorse backs still have their value. One of the best 5 players in the NFL is a workhorse back. They are just rare.
