They just interviewed a witness that lives across the street from where the RV was parked. She said the recording was coming from the RV. Said she was awakened to gun shots but she thinks it was recorded too. She left when it started giving the count down. Said it was down to 8 minutes when they got out.

This is crazy

I think this was targeted against first responders. Sounds like he was trying to target first responders by luring them in to the vehicle. Crazy

Sadly some can get it easier than they can make it regardless of strength/ complexity.
I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that the suspect used commercially bought tannerite. It’s legal, you can buy it in bulk, it tells you how to mix it.

Side note, you an EOD guy? I’m a CIED guy.

One of my friends i grew up with sent me a pic of his son this morning. He had all Clemson apparel on. My friend, his family and his wife's family are all long time UT fans. But, this is what happens when UT gives the younger generation nothing to cheer on. I'm 36, not old.
Here's a general comment not directed at your friend's family since I don't know them.

Anyone who doesn't remain a fan through the bad, no matter how long, I seriously have to question if they truly were a fan. You can't just turn something like that off. Get discouraged? Sure. Lose excitement for the future? Yes. Mad even? Ok. But quit being a fan? Nah. Sounds more like a customer. Some get the two confused.

I hope you chastised your friend for bad parenting. ;)

I mean...if you are related to a coach at a major university you know you will receive criticism, just one of the byproducts of the job, if you can’t handle it then dont get on social media 🤷‍♂️ It’s the same thing with injuries, it’s just part of the risk you take when you sign up for it

I agree from the standpoint of the coach and family. If you can't handle it, then stay away. But that doesn't excuse the behavior of those posting. They have no class in my book.

I think that brings far more embarrassment to the fanbase than does a 3-win season. Fans have little control over the wins and losses, so I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Fans have total control over how we act, so very much embarrassing because we're all lumped together.

Think the point we're making is the best, most dedicated fanbase is becoming more apathetic with each passing year. And each generation is becoming less dedicated. My son was in first grade when we won the national championship. He had to wear #16 when playing football. Wore Tennessee apparel through grammar school because that was his team but gradually stopped enjoying watching until as an adult he just doesn't watch anything. The only thing I saw him a little interested in was thinking the Titans might go to the superbowl. He would have probably watched that. He would probably still say he's a fan though. Question becomes are we going to continue becoming more apathetic, or are we going to give those that say they're fans a reason to actually watch the games? I almost have to make my husband watch Tennessee! After a little while he wants to turn it to a "good game"....I have to remind him we are fans.

Two things you said separated this from what others are claiming. You said we're becoming apathetic. I agree. Then you said your son would probably still say he's a fan. That's the difference to me; still a fan. Some are proudly claiming to no longer be fans.

Some of us are fed up with the ********.

I think a lot of us think by not financially supporting the program short-term that it will force a better long term. AKA empty Neyland

Can tannerite explode tho without a high speed impact? I always thought you had to shoot it with something to explode?

I would guess it's diesel and fertilizer. OK city bomber materials.
