Not sure how you limp through the last part of the season with a 6 game win streak. And before the start of look who they played crap. He beat who was on the schedule. Not so much this year. But if limping is what it takes to get a “W”. Then limp away. Also of note, you take away Vandy and Pruitt only has 3 P5 wins of 10+ points.

2019 South Carolina
2020 Missouri
We have been garbage under Pruitt. Hard to believe he got a promotion after limping through the last half of the season. We are the bottom feeder of the SEC.
So he had six 21+ point losses in 2018
3 in 2019
4 in 2020 ( 10 game season)
13/35 games he's coached he has lost bt 3 or more TDs???
A little more than 1/3 of the time...he gets blown out. Once every 3 weeks...he gets blown out!! Once a month and sometimes twice he gets blown out during the season...
This dude really needs to go.
Well since you asked....

Not being a Pruitt defender at all, but most of the "blowout" games were the result of a poor offense that kept the defense on the field. The A&M game is a prime example. The offense had plenty of chances to keep them in the game and just didn't do anything. The defense wasn't great, but that score didn't get out of reach until later in the game. I do think the potential is there for a substantial turnaround with better QB play and a more productive offense. That doesn't mean I think Pruitt has done a good job or should keep his job. I just don't see the team itself as being miles away from being a good team.2018 South Carolina
2019 Ga State (we scored late to make it one score)
2019 BYU
Pruitt is setting a level of futility that makes Dooley and Jones look good.

That could be bc he didnt think Penix fit his system. He did get a chance to sit at Indiana before he was asked to carry the load so that helped his development. Howell was never leaving the state of North Carolina thats why u stop recruiting him and focus on someone who will actually come.Agreed, however he turned Michael Penix away and stopped recruiting Sam Howell. That is on him and his staff.
That entire season was a wash. We lost every SEC game the previous year plus the last 4 in the year before that. 5-7 was the ceiling for that 2018 year. They werent going to get any bigger by game 11. He had problems that could only be addressed in an offseason program & recruiting. We had 7 guys who were 300+ lbs that year, this aint conference usa. All of those older guys had to start from scratch after learning from Botch for 3yrs. At that point and time Vandy was the better team so was Mizzo. The bright spot of that season was the @Auburn upset and JG just happened to be on that dayMaybe, some of that can go back to CBJ and I think we all took that into account. But the Missouri and Vandy games to close 2018 needing one win for a bowl we got throttled by both teams and by game 11 Pruitt should have them better prepared. Add to that we open 2019 with Ga State and that is 3 consecutive horrible performances. Maybe we have better players, but I am not real sure because we haven’t been playing the yo7ngervplayers even when the older players weren’t getting the job done.
Exactly. I mean do people not remember how bad the offenses were in 2005 and 2008? Yet those defenses still managed to be two of the best inAnd both contribute to them staying in the field. Pretending that the offensive woes are the only thing wrong with our guru-lead defense is just flat out incorrect.
This has been debunked time and time again. Go look up our defense's 3rd down stoppage rate, they couldn't get themselves off the field regardless of the offensive struggles.
