Hugh Freeze mega thread and poll [merged]

I've watched several speeches by Freeze and he has learned from his mistakes and in several of them he mentions him and his wife sneaking into Neyland stadium on their honeymoon just to see the place in person...This is his dream job no doubt...I honestly hope it happens for him as he could very well turn us around much quicker than most coaches could do.

Ij got off a call and I was told by a source I trust to the utmost power that if the young money convinces CPF to fire on Sunday CJP will tk a buyout and Freeze will be the new HC. I was also told that the old money wants Billy Napier.

Man ppl are so pissed with CPF and this hire. Many of the money guys are ok with CJP just not happy with his not giving af about their opinion of tge progress and lack there of. The beef started with the continual playing of JG when other offensive guys saying move on. Now I was told they want to also kp him but there will hv to be a major staff overhaul and he has to relinquish all control of the offense to CJC w/o constraints.

That’s too much help. He’s already had 2 OCs. Staff overhaul would only make this more expensive because if Pruitt hasn’t let go of the offense by now he never will and he’s not what we need. Need to just move on.

Freeze would be great for pure offensive X's and O's , but the NCAA would not be happy with that move given what apparently is happening at UT right now. I wish Cut was 10 years younger and I would give him carte blanche on staff.

Are we bottom-third in recruiting budget? Facilities? Attendance per game? Salaries paid to coaches? If hiring our next coach was about nothing but risk aversion we would re-hire Dooley - he was squeaky clean when he was here, as clean as any coach we have had. He just couldn't coach.

We have to let the UT AD know it’s either Freeze or the program will die. He’s the only one that can restore this program to its former glory. I think we all know that the UT can’t be trusted to make the right decision themselves. We as Tennessee fans have to rise up and make our voices heard. We’ve got to do whatever it takes. Burn mattresses, send emails, pull our financial support, whatever it takes...

In all seriousness though I’m kinda sad that it doesn’t look like we’re getting Freeze. I’m baffled. My heart is not fluttering tonight.

Read Deerpark12 posts from yesterday. It appears most SEC schools consider Freeze as “poison” and unlikely to ever coach at a P5 school.
