How many wins saves his job next year?

Try to remember this isn’t what the fans think should be the number. I think 9 should be the floor. This is what we think the university will actually require. This goes beyond Fulmer. I believe the administration simply doesn’t care. I think my university is so inept and cares so little about winning that 7 and maybe even 6 gives us another year of CJP.

And the garbage continues.

8-4 or better and there is a discussion.

7-5 or less, he's probably gone

losing record, no chance he's here

Ya. Not sure what fans can do. Just wait for another 2 or 3 season until Pruitt eventually gets fired. I watched the Titans yesterday and when you compare vrabel to Pruitt as a head coach they’re in different stratospheres. Vrabel is so in control of everything. There was a fumble (initially called down by contact) and you immediately could tell he was going to challenge it but before he did he went to multiple officials asking was there a clear recovery by our team. He finally got one that said yes y’all definitely ended up with the ball and he threw the flag. Multiple times this year there have been close calls we could’ve called a time out to get the officials to look at. But Pruitt is running around like a headless chicken yelling at an assistant unaware of what’s happening. Vrabel is just a really smart and posed coach. Everything you want in a coach and everything Pruitt isn’t. And vrabel is far less expierenced as a coach than Pruitt. This is his first opportunity yet nobody is saying...yes he messed this up and that up but understand you’ll learn over time. The reality is you have the right skill set for the job or you don’t. Vrabel obviously does and Pruitt obviously doesn’t.

It appears he is staying, but who knows. We hear of coach speak all the time. Fulmer could just be giving AD speak.

If a 3-7 record after three years doesn't spark motivation to make a change, then I'm not sure what to put on a record for next year.

I think the only way he is gone is if we have another losing season. Sadly, I think he can stay employed for many years to come if he stays at least .500. That is where we are at as a program.

If they keep him this year - it looks likely but it could still change - then I don't know if the number of wins will be as important as the way the losses look and how many people show up to the games. If he is losing to Lane Kiffin by 30 with 60,000 people in the crowd, or if he is getting shelled by Georgia and their fans take over the stadium, then things get interesting. Otherwise, I agree that he's likely back for 2022, because our administration thinks we're either blind, dumb, or both.

I really dont care at this point. I used to schedule my life around college football. I'm to the point my 50 year old body and mind cant take the sickness going on in the program any longer. Thankfully my first love of basketball is finally where I always dreamed it would be. I wish for football to be relevant again. But I'm not gonna spend time worrying about it anymore.

I think 7. They’ll sell it as a 4 game improvement when it’s just the cupcakes that bump up the win total.

This was my first thought too. 7 will save his job for another year and 6 and a bowl game win or lose might do it even. The university has embraced the bottom feeder role at this point.

If they can keep him after this debacle of a season they can conjure up plenty of excuses next year to keep him.

Working like heck, coronavirus, worst roster in the history of collegiate football, youngest roster in the history of the SEC, tough conference, saving the 8th to 10th best class in the SEC, only 16 plays from being an 8-4 team, Pruitt has the look in his eyes and knows what championship programs look like, a program bringing in 60 to 70 million a year in ticket sales and donations yearly cant possibly afford to replace a coach....blah ..blah....effin blah.

We have the king of excuse making in Fulmer running the Athletic Dept now so the excuses will continue to flow as long as the checks continue to flow.

Wish I could like this numerous times. We all expected mistakes but he hasn't learned or grown from them. He keeps saying "we have to learn to cover man or they're gonna continue to beat us" or "I called the same plays at bama and they worked". NEWS FLASH coach, you have to learn to adjust to your team and make changes. He clearly doesn't know how to do that among numerous other things
