UT will have to wait to see what happens with the NCAA investigation before making a decision on Pruitt. More importantly, if anything is found and Tennessee is sanctioned, you can forget Freeze setting foot on campus. You could also forget about any major coach wanting to walk into this dumpster fire thats facing sanctions and probation.

Bailey 14 for 14 before getting pulled last two games. If we don’t get a coach who knows how to develop a QB we aren’t giving ourselves a chance.

Yeah, because no coach would ever leave $3 million a year at a school that wasn't even D-I three years ago to coach at one of the top ten football schools in D-I history for a salary of $5 or $6 million per year. Just like no coach would leave UT to coach at a top-nine football school that had just gone on sanctions and lost scholarships...oh, wait...

Hugh Freeze won’t be hired with active investigations taking place. I’m not sure it’s a good time to hire anyone. Let it burn through next season and let Pruitt go with it. We’ll hire someone next season.

At this point, offer Matt Campbell IF AND ONLY IF, we fire Pruitt. Campbell has reached his ceiling at Iowa State.

We will know sooner or later. I hope we get Freeze, he will be almost a home run. Otherwise, we are likely to get Coach Google!

One of the top 10 football schools in history is just that, history. In the last decade Tennessee is bottom third so your argument there doesn't hold any water. Freeze, who has been fired for violations is already under the microscope, and UT is pretty risk averse, so no, they won't be hiring him. Sorry you aren't smart enough to see the logic there
