Any gun recommendations for a woman? Fiance doesn't have one and I'd like to get her something she'd feel comfortable with. Was thinking a Ruger LCP but open to suggestions...

I got mine a Bersa thunder 380. Very well made and very affordable. And, she enjoys shooting it.

Hi all, been a while

I will throw this in the football talk thread also but

After a lot of toil and tragedy my second novel The Alternator is now live on Amazon:

amazing cover by @LeBleu

slugline:
What if murder wasn't a mystery? For one young man, it is always decided by a simple code of chance taught to him by his mentor, a gruff truck driver named Petty who once took him under his wing. Now a trucker himself, the map savant travels the quickest routes coast to coast through 1990s America listening to the Top 40 countdown and holding the fate of those he encounters in the palm of his hand. Are the rules there to allow the natural order to assert itself or to keep a traumatic past from feeding his dark impulses and spiraling him out of control?

All profits will go to Young-Williams Animal Shelter in honor of my late wife.

Thanks

Good to see you back posting. Again, sorry for what you've gone through. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Need to get together soon.

So good to see you back posting. Wondered why I haven’t seen you post in a while. Now, I know. I’m so sorry, newt!! That’s heart-breaking. I hope you are as good as can be expected. Prayers for comfort and healing for you.

I carry the Glock 43x, my wife shoots it very well! Upgraded from the 43 in that it is still single stack but has a capacity of 10 + 1. Hope this helps and if she is new to hand guns you can never go wrong with a 22 caliber.

I bought my daughter a Ruger LCR in 380 Special for 2 reasons.
1. No mechanical failures in a revolver for a woman who might shoot it once a year and not be that conscientious about oiling and cleaning her personal defense weapon.
2. Safer to have one less in the cylinder and have an empty chamber. Again for a less experienced shooter.

My wife has a Beretta Neos which is a 22 automatic, but she shoots more than my daughter and she'd rather make more holes with a smaller caliber pistol that holds 11 than 1 or 2 bigger holes in the same amount of time. She has a magazine with soft lead target bullets and a magazine with CCI Stinger hollowpoints that will make a hole like a 38.

I don't necessarily promote automatics for women that aren't going to shoot very much because they are harder to maintain, but I do promote 22 caliber for automatics or revolvers because they are more comfortable for beginners and ladies who don't shoot alot, smaller and easier to carry and the bullet is what will make them lethal.

Looking for someone who can recommend someone who is great at SEO

What do you need, man? I'll give your site a look for free and tell you my immediate thoughts. Often people don't need an SEO, just a little direction.
