Since bass brought it up. If HB shrout and company go out and play inspired ball, the d gets a few turnovers and we beat no 5 ranked Tex A&M does that give you guys any hope that Pruitt can turn it around here?
I think it helps show a lot of the problems were poor QB play.
It certainly would. Then win the bowl. But major staff changes still needed.

It won’t happen, but if he wants to survive, that’s his only chance

Don't really care. Pruitt is still the idiot that continued to trot JG out and did it until he was pretty much told dude if you keep playing him you're gonna get fired. That doesn't tell me anything other than JP is an idiot.

I wouldn't call it an anomaly - I would just say the only team worth a damn that he beat in that streak was Indiana. Our schedule has always been front-end loaded. We play Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and sometimes a good non-conference team all in the first half of the season, and take those lumps early.

It was nice to see, because in years past those were games we were losing, but for him to get a raise and extension for that was just ridiculous. You shouldn't get raises and extensions here for beating the dregs of the conference in any given year.
I agree that the raise and extension were unnecessary.

Maybe. If he is retained I still maintain he should be given some strict guidelines and benchmarks he has to hit moving forward. Somehow he needs to be made to take more of a CEO role. Not sure what that looks like at this point.

I never believed they already had a coach lind up.
Depends on who you mean by "they."

If you believe some of the chatter, their AD/president supposedly didn't want to fire Gus. Those guys presumably don't have a coach lined up, but there was a lot of booster support for his firing, and just 24 hours later we're hearing that Steele is the favorite for the job.

I think "they" (meaning some big boosters, led by Jimmy Rane) know who they want, and are trying to convince Auburn's admin to hire him.

Seeing this crap show at Auburn and seeing Freeze Isn’t an option, makes think our administration will screw it up if they move on.

Trying to find hope if we are stuck with Pruitt next season
