Colored me surprised. I thought Pruitt's defense held that title.

Pruitt's defense is nowhere close to being a bad defense. We have an average defense in the SEC. 2nd tier but not awful.

Hyatt needs to be our primary slot guy and he will be a 100-yard a game machine. he is a nightmare out of the slot.

Doubt we see anything close to that with Pruitt. Because common sense.

Multiple NC wins and was hired by three blue blood programs. If he’s so bad how does he keep getting premier jobs? And I bet the minute we fire him he goes to a school that will be competing for a NC.

But why didn’t he stick with any of those programs? you have to admit thats odd. Once you get to be a coordinator at the top level especially if you’re successful... why bounce around for other DC jobs?

Something was off the whole time and it’s probably the biggest red flag before he was hired and it’s more apparent now... people can’t stand to work around the guy.

Freeze camp out there playing UT fans like a fiddle. The dude is not an option for any big time administration. He knows he is not getting pursued. So he continues to get his message out thru media connections that he is turning down all these other jobs waiting on UT He is not nearly as great of a coach as UT fans want to think he is and is still toxic at the admin level. Every other major college knows it but our fanbase. His camp is playing the UT fanbase better than Mike Gundy's agent plays the UT admin.

I would love to get a no **** assessment from JP on what went wrong this year. Defense is the biggest head scratcher. Experienced corners and safeties who are playing worse than they ever have. Can’t take away the slant. I bet he regrets not going away from JG earlier, as well.

God I hope they do it.

I get most of us will laugh at it purely out of schadenfreude, but in reality we don't play them again for awhile and a weak Auburn is good for UGA and Bama.

As much as I want to enjoy their disastrous hire, we need a strong Auburn.

I would take a win over Alabama anytime now...if Gus could do that. My kids don't know that feeling. I am not necessarily favoring him as coach, but I bet he could beat UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and USCe on a regular basis.

Based on my research, he was 6-1 against UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and USCe combined. He was 2-7 against UGA and 0-1 against UF.

I will take that bet. His longest stint anywhere was Alabama, he couldn't get along with anyone else.

I understand the thought process but I'm tired of thinking like that. What we need is a strong Tennessee. Won't matter how good other teams are or aren't when we are a good football team.

The latest report is that Art was the fall guy.

That is the way it is being played, but if you look back at the daily events, it appears that he knew what was going on more than he is trying say. Maybe that "scape goat" is the view the public will have, but I just don't know. Is he THAT GOOD that it makes it worth it? I don't know, but if I was the AD, I don't think it would be worth the risk to me.


I haven't gotten a call yet, so I probably will not be the AD any time soon, but who knows?
