Eh, each school brings different challenges, environments, and they play different schedules. When people ask why we would hire someone that didn't win enough at another school, you then revert back to someone like Rick Barnes. The other school felt they were stale, and maybe they made a poor choice to fire them in the long run. Barnes was perfect for UT basketball. I understand that UT basketball and football are different, but right now, we need stability and get football back on track before we talk championships. Just because a school fires a coach doesn't mean he is a bad fit somewhere else.
Agreed. We were average QB play away from two more wins this year I think. Hopefully we settle on a guy and get him developed in the offseason. People were in Pruitt’s ass about delegating responsibility so he shifted gears, but if the guy is truly a top 3 CFB DC, it would be criminal to not have him calling the plays. Ansley just isn’t getting it done in my opinion.
What on God's green earth gives you the idea that we will be good next year? I think we will be ok but you're going to have half decent recruiting class this year because it's not a sure thing he will be here after next year. Then the next class is harder to recruit because the coach is behind the 8 ball on recruiting. It's the cycle that never ends, see the writing on the wall that a guy can't coach. Give him an extra year and spend 3 finding out he wasn't the right fit.No one is happy with this year and no one is happy with Pruitt. However, I think we're going to be really good next year, under Pruitt. And we will finally start to see some light at the end of this dark tunnel.
You wouldn’t be in for a Briles x2 hire?
The latest report is that Art was the fall guy.Honestly, I don't know a lot about them, but I was under the impression that there was a pretty big smoking gun about his involvement in a major sex assault scandal.
I don't know. I just don't think Tennessee has the stomach for controversial people like him and Freeze.

Only 2 seasons in his tenure as HC at Auburn did they finish outside the top 50, and despite being 86th this season they still averaged 25.7ppg even facing an all SEC schedule. We've not done that since 2016 with Butch's last 9 win season.
Yeah but it's his 4th year. He's going to get better. We can't have instability. It hurts our program. We lost to Georgia State last year coming off of a normal off season where the guy who only loves football put 11 players out there on defense that didn't know where to stand.
