It’s an even bigger mistake firing someone without having a replacement lined up. You’re asking for a literal nuke to hit your program. There’s a reason you’re not doing their job. Scorching take. You can do better than that, buddy. I’m not alone on this @LA VolYou don’t need to have a replacement in line
You need to cut bait quick.
The biggest mistake an executive can make is not correcting the obvious mistake.
Hiring Pruitt was a mistake, keeping him around is an even bigger mistake
This would be the best pool of candidates we have had through these coaching searches. If Malzahn or Orgeron are fired then Napier is probably the first choice at both. Freeze is the hottest name in the country. There is never a reason to keep a coach with 2 wins and his recruiting falling apart. It makes no sense to fire Pruitt, unless you have a guy lined up ready to take the job. And at this point I don't think the options available are worth it. That may change, but given the current pool of coaches, I don't see it.
I kinda like that last option. Heck, we're all wearing masks anyway so we just might get away with itI just stated the facts of the situation. There are many ways to source money-- and all come with strings or obligations. If you don't have the money in reserve to fund something, you have to raise it, borrow it or have it gifted. Technically, I guess you could steal it, but let's go with the other three.
