Has to win the east next year to be retained going forward. That is the only way we can say look we made solid improvement and he may just be the guy.

However, we are not going to win the east so lets go ahead and cut ties now. Bring in a proven head coach and salvage the best in-state recruiting class in Tennessee next year.

We still don’t have a QB, our offense has no identity, our OL is still terrible, and btw, in spite of having a defensive coach, we have one of the worst defenses in college football. We shouldn’t count on beating anyone

Ole Miss and Mizzou have found theirs. There still is nothing special about beating some crap ooc teams and the also rans of the SEC. He should be competing against UF, UGA, and Bama in year 4.

Not saying he shouldn’t be competing with those teams but we still have a pretty good shot to win more than 2-3 SEC games which is all I was responding to in my post

Hopefully you’re right... But we went from Kiffin to Dooley to Butch soooo I think there’s some holes in your theory :(

Yeah, it could happen. I just think by year 4 those should be foregone conclusions. We should be at the point that if those teams beat us its a big upset, not hoping we can beat them to get to a garbage 7-5 record.

Pruitt isn't a better coach than Saban or Mullen.

He may be on a similar level to Smart, but can't recruit as good as him.

Pruitt can't compete with our big three on the recruiting trail.

Since he can't outcoach them or recruit better than them, we will never beat them with Pruitt.

We will be middle of pack or worse every year under Pruitt.

Yes, I know that. I just am replying to everyone talking about firing Pruitt if he only wins 7-8 games.

That's going to be the majority of seasons under Pruitt.
