Franklin is the only coach I can think of that would actively make me abandon this program. He was an integral part of a horrible attempt at a rape coverup, and the fact that he got away with it is just awful. If the fans revolted over Schiano, the reaction to Franklin should be significantly worse.

I can’t imagine why we wouldn’t want to keep this guy as our head coach..

No disrespect intended toward Ole Miss, I like the school, the women, the culture, although they did cuck out when it came to letting go of Col Reb, which sucks—but anyway—ole miss is not Tennessee.

Tennessee is and should be a top 3 team in the SEC every year. We have too much fan interest, money, tradition, etc.

I think Hugh Freeze made Ole Miss competitive, and he was forced to do things at ole miss he wouldn’t have to do at Tennessee. Freeze is looking for an opportunity like Tennessee and would end up being a legend that restores us as a perennial power.

Legit think he would make a Saban like dynasty here. He’s a great coach. Understands the game. Recruiting. He just needs a school like Tennessee to get behind him and we’ll have a guy that will be here for probably 20-25 years and I think we could probably win the SEC/Natty by year 4.

Dabo’s corny ass filled the void left by Tennessee to make Clemson what they have become—that should have been us. And Freeze will make us what we should have been.

Hire Freeze. Make Tennessee Great Again.

You made a lot of assumptions there such as saying he’d be here for 20+ years etc but the premise of your comment I believe to be true… If you can win at ole miss the way he did you should be able to do much greater things at Tennessee. I believe he is the savior we’ve needed for a long time. I just hope that behind the scenes boosters and administrators are taking steps to make it a reality.

This is Tennessee. The standards really aren’t that high anymore. You just can’t lose to GA State or go 0-9 in blowout fashion against your top rivals. By year 3; your team should be somewhat competitive.

Think that’s all anyone expects.

He would make us competitive, which is all anyone can expect. We haven't been competitive in games that mattered with equal opponents in a long, long time

These things do not equate to a being a top 3 SEC team. It is a fantasy people have. When we were good it was because the coaching, the university, and the players were committed to winning. Tradition means nothing, when it is buried in the past. All schools have fan interest, even Vandy musters a little. Most SEC schools have money, but we apparently don't have the funds to relieve ourselves of an abysmal HC and his staff.

So True. I don’t think anyone expected to beat IGA or Bama this year. Getting drubbed in all your. If games and embarrassed by UK was intolerable.
