No doubt. I’m just saying, it’s on the coaches to get it out of them or find players more willing to do the right thing.

The whole program is toxic and it seems that’s penetrated even guys like Trey.
To a degree but as a competitor, it's all you have when you're losing. I think it's more of an indictment on the player than coach. It should be a fire that doesn't ever need to be lit. Extra juice? Sure have that on coaches. It sad to watch though isn't it?

It’s awful.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is on an individual level, you are totally correct. But when I see 7 offensive lineman all having this issue, the coaches are responsible.

i dont think its fair to say the program is toxix based off of a gif. None of us have a clue, truly. Our HS experiences merit baseless analysis.

5 wins tops...it’s time for the cold Freeze.
Freeze has won everywhere he’s been. I’ve played for the guy. Say what you want about SEC records blah blah blah, but he took over ole miss. Ole miss. It’s like hiring a younger more innovative Barnes. Barnes may have been fired for not wining the big one, but he will likely have us in the tournament 9/10 times and that’s what we want. And this year looks to be, hopefullly, his second shot and a late March run.
Freeze has been successful coaching and every school he lands. Please just hire a guy who knows how to run a program and win. Freeze

If Trey Smith was the leader everyone has given him credit for, he would have turned up there on the field, sidelines, whatever. I don't think he is so when it comes to pro, I don't want my team touching him in the first three rounds. Don't need an OL like that on the squad.

Don't @ me
🤣🤣🤣 always good to start the day off with a laugh. Thanks for that

Wasn’t just 1 gif. The QB picked themselves up off the ground 6 times against Florida. We need to see the other 5?

When you see the product on the field and hear about the toxic environment it's almost like Dooley and Butch had a love child and now he is the head coach.

Dang. EG is a liability in pass pro. Tried to leak out on a play where there was a free rusher. On the other play, he tries to pick up the dog, but never gets square. Blow by. Maybe we're overrating Jay's coaching a little.

I'm actually not joking. I don't want Miami to draft Trey Smith before the fourth round. He's not worth that. Talent alone doesn't override it on the OL. You need to be a cohesive unit. Trey doesn't show, on the field or sidelines, that he cares for it. I'm sure he's a good dude, seems like he is, just not a good teammate on the field. I said what I said.

why are we *****ing on a VFL, again?

That says it all. We are a joke, a laughingstock, uncompetitive in year 3. Mullen is in year 3 and he has won the East and has embarrassed us on the field 3 straight years.

What are we doing? We can’t bring him back. There is no momentum in the program.
Brianchi, Dooley, and a few of the other writers they have would’ve said the same thing in 99. People don’t understand how awful their media is. They are 100 percent homers that embody the worst of UF fandom during the Spurrier Era. Mullen got little attention at State for it but he constantly digs opponents. They are a match that will become increasingly annoying.

At this point, there shouldn't be "Butch's guys" and "Pruitt's guys"-- there should be one team, with one goal. IDT the program is as "toxic" as some say, but things do need to be fixed. Starts with the staff and leading by example. The paycut stuff sent a signal about commitment and all-in for UT. Try instilling a "One Tennessee" message after that.

It has never been a Fulmer decision. Our AD hasn’t had an AD that was allowed to act since Dickey. We rule via a committee that is endlessly at war with one another. It’s why we’ve been in this mess for so long.

People - please read this and understand reality. This is it. Several of us who have experience with it like UTProf know. It's not speculation, it's not message board fodder. It's factual. It all began with the changing of the guard of Joe Johnson and Doug Dickey. It has progressively worsened. So ask yourselves who had control and where did the money come from in the two decades that followed them. You have your answers.

Not only does no one help Bailey up but Cade and Cooper fist bumping like they just accomplished something

WTF is happening

I guess it is because those two did their job - neither of their guys got to the QB.

Very enlightening as to their mindset and attitude, and probably reflective in some way of the team at large.

It reminds me of several guys on my high school's football team, which unlike Tennessee was actually really successful. I didn't even play football and wasn't on the team, but after games some guys would be upset because "they didn't do anything," even though the team had won a big game. Kind of the inverse of Cade/Cooper on that play...our QB just got blown up, but nice job because we blocked our guys.

When I played soccer both HS and in college, I didn't play on winning teams. I never had that kind of attitude toward teammates. I helped up, if fouled. Encouraged, taught and learned. Was I the greatest leader or a leader at all? Not necessarily. We were in this together. Their success is mine. Mine is theirs. Having the mindset that these guys have with the prospect of going pro is not acceptable and questions they will have to address.
Yep. If someone ever fouled one of our players hard, you better believe that player was getting his later.

My read is freshman QB and freshman center a bit green on pass protection communication. As far as no one picking him up, stings a bit but looked like they may have been in hurry up...
Make no mistake that’s Trey’s line and not sure why he’s not busting heads.
I don’t think it’s been Trey’s line since Cade was ruled eligible. I don’t know if it’s having brothers, just him changing the makeup of the line, problems with who can work with who (olines can be weird in that who plays beside who often matters more than it should because they have to work together so much) or just a part of the slide of the overall team but the OL played better before. Of course, I think Trey is playing with a muscle tear so his production drop off may be most of it. Without his production last season our OL’s stats plummet to the bottom end of mediocre in all of CFB. He isn’t carrying them this season and that hurts a ton.

Agree - have seen that here and heard it back at the time. So Phil's job now is to do what's best for the football program and UT sports. Freeze is the best available and would bring excitement, fans and money to the program. So, we are supposed to say it's OK for Phil to allow a petty incident from the past interfere with good judgment for the overall university now? He deserves to be fired on the spot if that is the case. Man up time.
