Man, as a fan, you have to be just as frustrated as the rest of us. Maybe more so given it seems like you put some serious cash into it. So what is the answer in your opinion? Does Fulmer need to go for change to be made? Do you really think there's any benefit to keeping Pruitt another year? What has he done to give us any hope he suddenly figures this out? We're at a crossroads, and once again, it seems like the wrong decision is about to be made by an administration that keeps making bad decisions. Do the big money boosters not see that? Does Randy Boyd not see that? I love Fulmer for what he did here as both a coach and a player, but he's just not cut out to be AD if he can't see that a serious change is needed now. Not next year, but now. We are a sinking ship. How these guys can't see that is beyond baffling. Between the losses and what will probably be a subpar recruiting class that does very little to advance our cause, what benefit is there to keeping Pruitt when he has shown he is unwilling to change?Let me be clear on one point....JP is not insecure...butch was....
It has never been a Fulmer decision. Our AD hasn’t had an AD that was allowed to act since Dickey. We rule via a committee that is endlessly at war with one another. It’s why we’ve been in this mess for so long.John Brice on Swain Event Says mega-money people are very frustrated. Says the question is does it cost more to fire him now or to have a lost year next year. Says it's no longer a Fulmer decision.
TIFWIW
They knew Pruitt was a moron when they hired him, now he's doing what morons do and Fulmer is trying to cover his assI have skipped some pages but based on what I am reading above it looks like CF is holding onto JP for defensive purposes. It appears there are some deep and toubling events that, should they come to light, could/would be very damaging. By keeping JP, Fulmer thinks it stays quieter longer. Am I right??
Everyone over there has the same mentality the coach does, they're lifeless and softIf Trey Smith was the leader everyone has given him credit for, he would have turned up there on the field, sidelines, whatever. I don't think he is so when it comes to pro, I don't want my team touching him in the first three rounds. Don't need an OL like that on the squad.
Don't @ me
When I played soccer both HS and in college, I didn't play on winning teams. I never had that kind of attitude toward teammates. I helped up, if fouled. Encouraged, taught and learned. Was I the greatest leader or a leader at all? Not necessarily. We were in this together. Their success is mine. Mine is theirs. Having the mindset that these guys have with the prospect of going pro is not acceptable and questions they will have to address.I noticed some of the offensive line stuff vs. Florida. Mostly I thought it was telling that when the QB would go down or a tackle in the backfield happened, they’d start yelling at each other or pouting. Cant do that.
And I’m not saying that as an indictment on the players. It’s coaching for one, and it’s losing so much that makes it hard to do the right thing.
No doubt. I’m just saying, it’s on the coaches to get it out of them or find players more willing to do the right thing. When I played soccer both HS and in college, I didn't play on winning teams.
