You should buy a firestick off Amazon. They're like $30 and you can stream right to your TV. You'll need it for SEC+ games anyway.
Made the conversion from ROKU starting last year’s Black Friday. Got my last two for $19 apiece. Much faster and the only streaming stick that accesses HBO Max.

It’s crazy and better yet how has he done a solid job?
He hasn't. They've gotten some incredibly lucky breaks to be at .500 right now. They'll finish worse than that. Also, once Kyler Murray gets his first serious knee or ankle injury, his performance at quarterback will plummet. His value is in his running ability, not his ability to pass. Other teams are starting to figure that out now.

Here's the thing, fans make the sport. You remove the fans and it's a 9-5 salary (like the WNBA). I don't mind players sticking up for their teammates, the problem though is it's the "viral" era. So the guy who is talking trash is an anonymous nobody that just got his 15 seconds because Maurer replied. Now Maurer essentially is worked up over what? That "fan" doesn't give 2 spits about the players it's why they took to social media to bash on JG.

You don't need social media for family, you can group text from your phone and share literally anything you want. The athletes are as bad as the fans wanting to use their platform to gain followers to feed their egos. But with that comes all the negativity you open yourself up for, the voices just seem louder when you give access via social media.

I agree with that point about social media, but that wasn't your initial point. You used it to compare it to being satisfied from receiving a scholarship and all that comes with it. Some may say that it's totally worth getting public criticism as long as my education is free. But it's human nature to be upset when someone criticizes what you are doing and how you are doing it. I am a big believer in "trying to walk in other's shoes." I just understand why it is so frustrating for them right now because they are getting bashed, and they have all worked hard and gotten through a crazy season with protocols and such.

I am not on any other social media site, but if someone outside of my office told me I was terrible at my job, I would pushback too, knowing how much time is spent doing it.

This is random, but how in the hell did Kliff Kingsbury get the Arizona job after sucking ass with Texas Tech?
Odd then and still hasn’t changed. I think it began when he talked up Kyler Murray as the potential #1 pick with his rep as a QB developer. They might wanna jump into the Bienemy Sweepstakes.

Oh snap...I've got Roku & Chromcast may look into trying out a Fire Stick if they are faster.

My biggest complaint with Roku so far has just been how flipping hot the things get....that's worrying.

They are better now than we he was hired

You missed my initial point then. I'm saying that a large portion of the fans who aren't putting in the blood, sweat, and tears the players are would without question for the same benefits those players receive from doing it. He's painting with a larger brush with his retort, a good number of the fanbase have put in work to play football some didn't have the talent to do it at the next level so they hung it up, some still played/walked-on. I know quite a few VFLs that put in the same amount of work as any other players have while paying for their own way and walking on just so they could run through the T.

I guess we're different though, cause someone outside of where I work criticizing my work wouldn't even get a response from me. They just aren't worth my energy.

What are your thoughts on Bryan Harsin at Boise State as a potential replacement when Pruitt is eventually canned? Think he would leave the blue field for the orange and white checkerboard? He does have a previous relationship with Steve Caldwell.
He is at his alma mater but we would be lucky at this point to have him our coach, would be an extremely solid hire.

Well, we expect more out of someone who makes $4.5 million and rightfully so. But, these people who say, "oh it's ok, he will get his money" don't quite understand the full ramifications. I am sure Butch Jones' teenage son had some rough days when others mocked his dad at school. Sure, Butch took it on as a public figure, but as a Dad, you still don't like it and don't want your family to be uncomfortable. I guarantee you these coaches would rather win than lose making the money. The buyout doesn't make the social media comments and jokes go away.
The kids of the people making millions is a different deal. I do have sympathy for them, and going after kids because their high-paid parents are underachieving is totally off limits. Only real scumbag, miserable people do that.

I'll put it this way - I agree that these coaches would rather win and make money than lose and make money. They are competitive people, and winning also means a greater likelihood of a new job that pays more or raises and contract extensions at their current job. However, these contracts are so one-sided these days that these coaches have secured the bag simply by signing the contract, not by winning.

Look at Pruitt's situation - he can either be successful and work 100% of the contract length for 100% of the contract amount. Or he can fail, be fired at some point before the contract is up, make anywhere between 50-80% of the total contract amount (depending on how long he worked before he was fired), and then slide back into a well-paying, lower pressure assistant job at Alabama. I see how such an incentive structure can dampen a coach's competitiveness. They've "made it" when the contract is signed, not once they win a bunch of games and have success.
