The question isn’t about finances just for this and next year.
The decision to keep him isn’t comparing the cost of this year vs next. It’s figuring in the chances he survives next year. I think he wins 7 games next year and we don’t end up having to fire him either year
You're probably right but I disagree. The recruiting is/will regress. He's already shown he can't win with good talent. What's going to happen when he has below average talent? He's not going to get it done here, unless you consider 6-7 wins done. And again, do you extend him next year for 7 wins? If you don't you've already said that would affect recruiting negatively.I think fulmer believes he can win here
I’d guess fulmer has the approach that the next time he fails to win 7 games it’s over but fulmer is going to blame much of this season on covid imo
I bet he pours every ounce of energy this off-season into turning that unit into an elite force like we were beginning to see during the win streak last season.
Tell me more about this secret offshore account.Saying it's no longer in Fulmer's hands is hardly news. The amount of money it would cost, and the financial implications it would create, to make a change like this is above the AD's pay grade. It was always going to be Boyd's call. Just like it was Boyd's call to authorize the funding to keep Barnes. The money isn't sitting in an offshore account. It will have to be sourced by the university.
