The Tennessee booster community is the epitome of too many chiefs, not enough Indians. It is surpassed in that regard perhaps only by Texas.Because our boosters don’t care about anything other than posturing and slapping their names on buildings. They are happy to see the program fail and to use Fulmer as a human shield when the fans lash back because the truth is that they are the ones not ponying up. They’ve hung every AD we’ve had out to dry and never once taken responsibility when we know for a fact that many times they have hand picked the coach while the AD has been a figurehead. We operate assbackwards and as long as fans keep buying it they will keep doing it.
Um... Pruitt’s still here. Problem numero uno. Whatever gets him gone.I don't get this eruption of vitriol. Nothing has changed this week. UT has been staying the course all along, with no intention of doing anything else. Opt-outs are negligible. The recruiting class is amazingly intact. The guys we need to stick are sticking. Most of our top recruits, including Salter, still plan on signing early. Brooks is still solid. Staying the course and focusing on playing and recruiting is exactly what stable, unemotional leadership should do right now.
Losing to Vandy would do more harm than good. And actually wanting to lose to Vandy and posting it on a message board that recruits read...
As far as “Raw talent” I’d argue we have more than FL. They just have an elite college QB, better coaching staff and generational TE prospect.Wonder if true.
Tennessee has a lot of talent. Besides Alabama, Florida, and Georgia we have had more talent than any other team we have played including Auburn.
We are just really poorly coached.
I'd like to see what a good HC could do with this team.
Why should anyone give a damn about recruiting? This coaching staff hasn’t shown the ability to develop talent or get young talent on the field. Getting rid of pruitt is the only thing that matters anymore. It doesn't matter who we recruit. Our head coach doesn't do a good job.I don't get this eruption of vitriol. Recruiting class intact? You haven’t noticed the handful of late offers to no name 2 stars last minute to fill the class? I would normally be optimistic about that and talk up how they’ll be developed and coached up by our staff. But I’ve seen none of that happen with the current staff so unless you’re a 5 star elite best of the best and don’t need further development, coming to play for this current staff isn’t a good idea and they won’t help win games in the SEC.I don't get this eruption of vitriol. I know he isn't urban or saban. I also know if he was our head coach, we would be winning games. We would actually be competitive and fun to watch. How many times do you people need to read or hear that even if a coaching change was the order, Freeze would not be the guy?
The elevation of Freeze to demigod status by misguided fans is comical. You all act like he’s Urban or Saban.
That’s great if recruits read these boards. Then they know they will be playing for a fan base that wants them to succeed and us as fans will always cheer for them. But if they can’t see this bald headed cuck for what he is then, it is what it is. We are doing this for the players too. We want a good product every Saturday, which in turns means the players are developing, which also means they get better draft stock.I don't get this eruption of vitriol. Tennessee and Florida were equally talented when Mullen and Pruitt took over their respective programs. Can't remember who, but someone did an analysis of the players currently on both rosters and Tennessee had something like a .02 or .04 percentage point higher average star ranking than Florida did.As far as “Raw talent” I’d argue we have more than FL. They just have an elite college QB, better coaching staff and generational TE prospect.
