Not sure I get all the crap tossed at Coach Fulmer. Don't agree with every decision he makes but who cares. He didn't hire Kiffin, Dooley, or Jones. When he was hired he was brought in to right a rapidly sinking ship and needed to make an almost immediate hire from a very limited pool. Most of you (me included) were satisfied that he did a good job getting Pruitt. Hasn't worked out. I wish he would pull the trigger on Pruitt but it doesn't mean he doesn't want to win if he's not on our timetable. IF he makes a change, I trust he will make a good hire. I also realize he knows a heckuva lot more about these coaches than any of us do. Just my opinion. Wish it was Freezing in here.

Well, I’d say there’s a difference between arguing if he’s qualified for it or if he’s done a good job while in the position.

Keeping Barnes, extending Vitello, getting the renovation work done at Lindsay Nelson, and beefing up the football support staff and support budget have all been good things. Hiring Pruitt is a negative, but we all know he wasn’t his first choice and was the product of a bungled search by Fulmer’s predecessor.

If he rides Pruitt into 2021, or if the next hire fails within three seasons, I’ll join you in complaining. Otherwise, I’m happy to let Fulmer run this search and hire who he sees fit to run the program.

I’ve never seen a university try so hard not to be good. That’s really all it can be at this point. We’ve got every other major college willing to do whatever it takes to get back and we won’t hire Freeze because baggage? That’s a dumb take, Kiffin has a job, Bruce Pearl, Will Wade, North Carolina should have gotten the death penalty, Texas just tried to hire one of the sleaziest coaches of all time, Freeze currently has a job and not one person in the media has brought up his past, Ed O is a known cheater, Bama is a cheating factory, Auburn has a cabin they probably do worse than Freeze at, Duke openly won a bidding war for Zion yet we are worried about what exactly? Freeze made a mistake and I guarantee you that’s not the worst thing that’s ever happened in this conference. UT just doesn’t have much interest in being top notch anymore. That’s just that. We consistently let our opponents play chess while we play checkers. They are all willing to cut anyone’s throat to win and we aren’t at all. UF fires mcelwain just to upgrade and get Mullen. UT would never. We are too worried about what tf the media and everyone else thinks. It’s why we will never be elite again. There are no squeaky clean winning programs and to be honest there aren’t even squeaky clean bad teams. It’s make or break time for Tennessee and honestly I think we will break.

The only reason to keep Pruitt would be if he could ransack the LSU transfers. Bj, Arik, Webb (I believe rumored to want out months ago), the DT that was rumored as well. Add the transfer from USC and that's the only thing that should save Pruitt. Then fire him halfway through next year so the new coach can have 2 years with those guys.

We all know and Fulmer knows that he screwed up his first hire. If I’m Fulmer I give in to what the fans want and CHILL out and enjoy the ride
