But JG is the coaches fault. Either get him ready, get another QB ready or recruit a QB you believe in. That’s all on Pruitt and co.

Agreed that it all ultimately falls on Pruitt. He was Stuck with BM and JG when he got here and only had a couple weeks to sign a QB in his first class (Shrout was a flyer project). Thus, he only has recruited one QB in HB.

Many coaches have tried to fix JG and that can't be done. His problems aren't fixable. BM's mental health set backs were unfortunate but hardly predictable for the coaches. Finally on HB, in a normal non Covid Season he would have likely been ready earlier. Due to Covid he didn't get spring or fall camp to develop like most incoming freshman QB's do. Thus, that slow development due to COVID really is hard to pin on CJP.

His body of work is well documented. Win or loss against that poop team should not make a bit of difference. If that truly is the criterion, I may have to opt out myself.

I am just kidding about the opt out part, but, dear Lort, never mind. Go vols.

There are degrees of opting out. I'll always be a fan. I'll always watch and cheer and hope. Doesn't mean I'll donate or spend money though.

After the second half of the Ga game, I know I'm not the only one to think "oh 'ish" Pruitt may be losing the team... and then proceeded to lose the team in Arky/KY, and then the rest is just hot garbage history.

Cimaglia has a knee injury. We have several starters who've been playing with injuries this season. The weeks off have helped, but it takes a toll.

Watching in person, it certainly appeared that a healthy AT, would have taken that 4th down pass for 6 in the other direction. BC looked like he was in agony after every kick. Hurt to watch him.

Or we are just a middle tier program.

Must walk before we run again
You don't have to run to beat who I mentioned. Even on down years TN is as talented as those teams. Its about scheme and being prepared. If you have to be more talented then who you play, then you're not a very good coach and will never beat the teams at the top.

It really wasn't that hard to see coming though. The win streak last year was garbage

We dominated every game in that win streak, but the little mistakes is what kept those games close. We threw for 400+ yards against Mizzu and only put up 24 points. We were in the backfield nearly every play against IU. For whatever reason, Pruitt can't get his team to execute for 60 minutes.

Our QBs went 26/35 with 232 yards and 2 TDs vs. Florida and we still were never really in that game.

That's what this team is going to look like with competent QB play but bad coaching and decision making.

That's a 5-7 team next year.

Yep, the entire team has to develop and improve (along with the QB), which is clearly on the shoulders of the staff... which is clearly not happening. And unless there's a big change in the QB coaching area, we will see a lot of the same proficiency, or lack thereof, by our QB's next season because they will be spinning their wheels and not developing thanks to ole weeener-kee

We have seen usce go down while Kentucky has gone up. Don’t forgot mizzu was the east a few times.

I agree in this 2020 stage we should be 60/40 in those games but the odds of going 4/4 in 60/40 games isn’t that great and this why we have won 8 games only 2/14 seasons

So the same mistakes that cost us. Vandy year 1, Mizzou year 1, GA St and BYU, cost us this year and last year, so he's had 3 years to coach out these mistakes but he can't. 2nd he told us the worst QB on the roster gives us the best chance to win. 3rd once again who did we beat during thay streak it was garbage.

1. When will we know and how likely is the Vandy game to be played ?
With Ole Miss on pause til Wedn does SEC switch our game with A+M and then work to find us another game for the 19th ?
2. Ok c’mon guys ..... what’s the deal with Shrout and this staff?
After Carolina a year ago and then Saturday night it’s obvious the guy has skills. Throw me a bone here and tell me why the guy has never been given a chance.
3. If most or all the staff is bailing after this year then why bring Pruitt back in 2021 ?
We’ve seen this before and I don’t think the outcome the next 2 weeks changes anything without
2-3 wins and finding a true QB.
That may not even make a difference!
4. I know this is a crazy question but unless Georgia stumbles at Mizzou I don’t see any way the Vols don’t play a post season game.
You hearing Memphis, Birmingham or Ft. Worth ?
1. SEC adopted rules state that any schedule change has to be made by end of day on Monday of game week. Now you can cancel a game up until game day, but to change this week from Vandy to A&M it has to be done today.

2. I would love to answer that question. I asked Pruitt today what changed from the kid not traveling to Arkansas to now playing and he said he had practice well and said he practiced well in the pre-season but didn't handle his three snaps against Kentucky well. I get the feeling that Chaney simply isn't in love with any of his QB's.

3. I don't know where the powers that be are with things right now. I don't know if most or all of the staff is bailing.

4. If all these bowl games are going to be played and not get cancelled, I do expect them to be in a bowl somewhere.

We are never going to agree on this. TN is equally as talented or more so in any given year then those 4 teams. There is no excuse to losing to any of them.

Well hell yes I have and everyone should

The good ole days saw Georgia and Bama both being very average. Now they are both sure losses

Why in the sam-hill F would I not expect my program to have an opportunity to rise to the top again? If you are okay with the state of the program, you may want to ease on down the road west and pull for candy with those expectations.
