Fulmer loves TN football more than anyone on the planet. I’m sure what ever grudge he has against freeze (whether true or not) will be set aside if he thinks freeze can win.

Y’all are also big time under estimating how much Fulmer values his legacy. He loves to win, he loves the honors, and he loves the history. Him winning a title here as a coach and then leading this program to a national title in football would cement him as one of the greatest PEOPLE (not just coaches) in CFB history.
Been saying this
He wants to win more than any of us
He needs to remain AD because you can damn well bet he’s gonna do everything in his power to win at football. We don’t need another pencil pusher running the show.

“Build” isn’t the right word, but I think you have to be a good coach to keep winning at that level at any program. He’s also responsible, as I’m sure you know given your username, for taking them into FBS football. That’s a big jump.

Yes, but App had so much continuity amongst the staff and a developed roster that made the move to the Sun Belt much much easier. I would argue they were a top 3-4 team in the conference talent wise their first year.

I like Satterfield a lot and he’s a solid coach, but he certainly benefited from taking over the keys to a well oiled machine in Boone where Moore did the heavy lifting. We could do worse but I would like to see a larger sample size in a weak ACC.

I am naming dropping. Daddy Saxon was a very good friend of my dad. Dad knew younger Saxon before he became THE agent everyone used. Nice family and Daddy Saxon is/was a Dentist. They lived in Memphis not sure where the Jimmy lives.
Jimmy lives in a house built from the contracts of failed Tennessee coaches

Any rumors of Fulmer firing Pruitt and him coaching the rest of the year? I just got a message asking about that possibility.

Malzahn is 10x the coach Butch is. He went to a national championship with Marshall as QB, has won the West multiple times, has actually beat Saban and bama. If Malzahn was our coach in 2015 and 2016 we win the East both years and compete for a national title in 2016
How has it been working out lately?

I wish it was 50/50.

It’s like 90/10.
I think everyone is tired of Pruitt and wants to end this experiment. The discussions I’ve heard they’re having are basically “can we afford to do it now or do we need to wait a year and hope something changes?”

I’ve heard literally zero talk of “Pruitt is going to turn this around and we’re behind him.”
