My semi-realistic wishlist:
Petersen or Meyer, but not happening. Neither is Freeze for different reasons, IMO. That leaves...

If we could pick up a solid DC like Mason or equivalent and some upgrades in position coaches, I'd be up for any of those guys... Chaney can ease on down the road. He is stinking it up badly...

Maybe HB didn't see it and call it along with Coop idk. Or maybe pass pro just sucks. People didn't believe it last week and said it must be the QB position not helping the OL out. Well, it was way worse this week and we've seen 4 different qbs and pass pro sucks every time. And it's not just the OL, it's TE and RBs too. Just not good at pass pro.

Every coach we've had since Fulmer has been compared to Majors. Of course they never mention that 1. he was coming off a national championship at Pitt and 2. he was a Vol. TBH, if anyone right now should be compared to Majors it's Jimbo at TAMU. That project started off with very little progress but he had a national championship to back up the plea for patience. They paid through the nose because he's not an alum but otherwise that's your closest JM comparison atm.

What program are you referring to? Louisville?

He took over a very stable Appalachian State program that Jerry Moore had already built and won 1-AA nattys.

“Build” isn’t the right word, but I think you have to be a good coach to keep winning at that level at any program. He’s also responsible, as I’m sure you know given your username, for taking them into FBS football. That’s a big jump.

Love Fulmer and hate Haslam. I'm willing to put up with the cognitive dissonance a move like this would produce if it meant we got Freeze. I just don't believe Fulmer is as tied to Pruitt as many think.

Y’all are also big time under estimating how much Fulmer values his legacy. He loves to win, he loves the honors, and he loves the history. Him winning a title here as a coach and then leading this program to a national title in football would cement him as one of the greatest PEOPLE (not just coaches) in CFB history.

This x100. I've tried to express this before but for a lot of folks it's like talking to a wall. They've bought every conspiracy that's come down the pike about him for years.
