Heres another thing that is bothering me about last nights game. There was a conversion at some point where Pitts got over the top of the corner on 3rd down and Pruitt talks about being in cover 2. He blames the corner for not dropping back, and maybe we have a check where he drops to the sticks on 3rd and long. However, here is my issue with it, usually the corners responsibility in cover 2 is the flat, so on 3rd and long why are we in that defense? If you want the corner to drop back, instead of being in some complicated check, just call a cover 3 or 4, where they have to throw the flats and rally to the ball. Pruitt thinks it was the correct call and blames the players, however, I blame that on the coaches there are better calls to be made in that situation.

Another mini rant I want to go on. On I believe it was a 3rd and 8 screen pass, on UF's scoring drive in the 4th quarter. Pruitt said we were in a drop 8 call, but the guy that was supposed to be there blitzed. I believe it was Deandre Johnson that blitzed. We are so poorly coached that guys don't even know the calls. Thats terrible, but once again it doesn't matter, if we were in man which we had been running most of the game. Theres a guy there and we shut that play down. Pruitt just sucks guys, he's trying to call things like he has Bamas talent and it aint working and it aint gonna work.

Yes yes yes yes, exactly. Mullen coached circles around Pruitt. We should've been in a cover 3 or 4 match where the corner takes the TE and the Linebacker shoots to the flat.

Before this season i would wear UT gear every Saturday. Ive not wore any UT gear in 3 weeks and it feels good.
No more of those conversations at the stores with other fans. Quite honestly I feel like I'm seeing less UT gear while I'm out in town.

I'm partially convinced that we will not break free from the curse until we go 0-12. Every time we think we've hit rock bottom, it gets worse a few years later.
