Besides running the ball a little more I thought he did ok. However I think the run run pass is a Pruitt special. We did the same thing under Helton, and the same thing in the big games against JG. Pruitt will not be successful here unless he changes his offensive philosophy.

A side story to this, consider the source, but I was listening to Russell Smith on the Vol reaction half time show, and he was talking about JG's pick 6. He said he was told from someone who would have the knowledge that Pruitt told Chaney to throw the ball because we had run the ball too many times in a row. Now, think about that story and tell me, sometimes it doesn't seem like something like that happens. Pruitt is Pruitts own worst enemy.

I don't even want to think about our QB situation next year if he transfers.
We will have Saltor, good prospect extremely raw
Shrout inconsistent as all get out.
Maurer who cant stay healthy
A grad transfer who will have 1 summer/fall camp to prepare. That does not bode well for offensive success at all. So it sounds like our offense will once again be offensive.

Nobody cares about boxing anymore, except maybe me. Errol Spence Jr with an impressive unanimous decision over a very game Danny Garcia. Spence is the best boxer in the world, imo. Terrence "Bud" Crawford is the 2nd best and they are in the same weight class. So, I hope they fight each other, in the summer or early autumn of '21.

My bad, I just really don't want to post about UT football. It's worse then when Johnny and UT got a punt blocked and we lost to a bad Army team in the late 70s/early 80s. Thank God, basketball finally starts next week. Final 4 potential and either a SEC regular season and/or tournament championship, imo

Our play calling is terrible. Our skill players on offense did well, IMO. Played hard and didn't make many mistakes. They were just covered constantly so not many yards to get after the catch. Our Oline played soft. We need to stop returning kicks when we don't have to. And our zone coverage on defense is atrocious. Bryce Thompson clearly shouldn't have played tonight. He was injured and it showed, and I bet that's the reason his head wasn't fully into the game. Our players were hindered by coaching on both sides of the ball. Banks seems to finally be catching on

It doesn't matter who you put at OC. Pruitt's the man behind this mess. We've seen Chaney too many times at too many places and we've seen Pruitt with 2 very different OCs and the same offense. I don't know why everyone forgets that this is Pruitt's second OC.

I have a 100% confidence we’d get someone better. This guy is the worst football coach I’ve watched. It’s boring, bad football and we play with no passion.

I think you’re too hard on HB but I agree wth you that Pruitt will find any reason in the world to not start him. That despite the fact the even Pruitt says Bailey needs experience. TBH, I think most of his negatives yesterday were due to inexperience and a lack of reps with different wrs. He also got murdered one time because it looked like my man Eric Gray forgot to block and a lot of confusion probably came from the backup centers as well.

I don’t know what his ceiling is but I think he can be a damn good QB for us but at this point he isn’t an instant fix and I think that is what you and many others were looking for but he is an upgrade in many areas. The question is what to do with Shrout who looked pretty darn good but also has a history of being rogue/inconsistent. Both need reps and Shrout flashed some potential that can’t be overlooked but HB is the future guiding hand, IMO because he has shown to have a higher floor. The question is how high is his ceiling.

their game plan showed an absolute lack of faith and disregard for HB to get anything done. it all relied on gray

I said the same thing in the members only group chat to @InVOLuntary @volatil and @Sugaray13...why not put Palmer, Johnson, or Hyatt in there running that route?

You serious, man? Did you not watch the game and just look at the stats? Do you seriously think the trash play calling helped him succeed? My word! Run run pass on 3rd and long. Yep, that’s an offensive plan that’s creative and will move the ball. Yeesh! Take a lap
