What a prick

Jeez what a punk. His press conferences get worse every week. Those weren’t even bad questions

Acting that way helps absolutely no one... only hurts the image

EDIT: I just watched the rest of it and it wasn’t like this part. It was much better. But this still isn’t okay

One was on HB- held it too long. We all know Grantham likes to bring pressure on 3rd and long. Probably poor coaching, but also a true freshman just needs time to learn how to react when guys are coming.

I would have to look at plays again, but you can’t always blame the OL when guys are coming. QB has to throw at the blitz.

The one Bailey “held” they showed it again and showed every single one of our receivers completely covered up.

Im not blaming the OL for every sack. However, atleast two of those sacks UF guys came completely untouched and Bailey was hit before he even got to his first read.

One more thing.

The comment that Bailey needs to get the ball out quicker is classic Pruitt speak - like when he said one week the OL needs to strain more in practice and then the next week he fires the DL coach. Heads up OL.

Pruitt told that reporter “I don’t know how much you know about football” and my personal favorite told him the sticks are used to measure first downs.

I wish that reporter would have responded with yeah those sticks move up and down the field when your dumbass defense is on the field.

Your take on Bailey though is really one of the worst I've ever seen on the board. You're not taking into account any of the play calling or untouched UF guys blitzing. You praise Shrout when UF rushes 3 and drops 8 back and the coaches start throwing the ball the last two drives.

That is a prevent D, isn't it?

I would have to see it again. I know the analyst said everyone was covered, but it looked like 2 of our receivers actually had position. Nonetheless, he’s got to throw it away.

I just can’t help but think Pruitt would rather be the dc at Bama next year than the head coach at UT.
I’ve been hesitant to buy into this, simply because I believe a man’s ego makes him want to succeed no matter what; but tonight is the first time I’ve found myself believing he’d rather this thing end ASAP.

Bailey was okay in his first start. Didn't wow me, didn't disappoint me either.

I like his ability to read the field and hit the checkdown if nothing else is open. And he generally feels the pocket well, with the caveat that he's clearly unused to SEC-caliber blitzes. That's an experience thing. I like that he'll take off and run if given an opening - he's not a burner but he's plenty mobile enough to bite off a first down here and there against an undisciplined front 7. He has a long throwing motion and I question his arm strength. Also doesn't have great touch when throwing the ball more than 10-15 yards. He's going to have to prove that he can hit enough of these downfield throws to keep defenses honest. Playing 3-5 yards at a time is a hard way to live on offense, especially against explosive teams like Florida and Bama.

We didn't do him any favors with the playcalling. I'm not going to go too hard on Chaney here, because I do think part of the issue with the playcalling was Bailey's limited command of the offense and his lack of rhythm with the WRs. And I don't trust any of our receivers to win a 50/50 ball, so it isn't like we can just target any one-on-one matchup on the edge like Bama can with their guys. But I did feel that we were too conservative with him - looked like we were afraid of putting him in a position where he might make a mistake.

So when do we start the threads for each new coach we interview? Should we save some time and just go ahead and start those?
