Well he was stuck with JG all 3 years.Let's play this season out...
Current
Scoring margin through 3 seasons:
Kiffin (1 yr) +92
Dooley +4
CBJ +196
Pruitt -108
Projected after UF with estimated spread
Pruitt -127
After VU with estimated spread
Pruitt -120
After TAMU with estimated spread
Pruitt -140
Pruitt projects to be 144 points worse than Dooley after 3 years.
What more needs to be said?!?
A Vol QB with TWO wins in the Swamp. “Forget” that tidbit?
Only Tennessee QB ever to have talent against the Gators. Never mattered. Surprised Peyton got drafted. No, not at all. Played great with stallworth, Washington, Witten had a tough game, but Travis Stephens went off that game. Defense that year was incredible especially on the line. Probably the most talented team I can remember at UT.
2003 was Ron Zook and Ingle Martin. Sorry, bu that UF team was not very good.
I don't think they look at potential increases in ticket revenue moreso the potential for loss of additional revenue when evaluating a coach. I think if they look at a coach and project losing 5-10K season ticket holders if he's retained I believe that gets their attention pretty quick. Problem is it's very difficult to predict that.
Minimum donation is $500, right? And these raw "tickets sold" numbers don't reflect the revenue difference between season tickets sold with donation vs not. When times are good minimum donation goes up. For decent chunk of seats, premium and otherwise, the ticket cost is well less than the donation.
Clausen was a good college QB. Not sure why you feel the need to discount that other than you just like to be argumentative. Tebow is easily one of the top college QBs of all time, but he was a huge failure as an NFL QB. Different games.Tebow had multiple chances with teams. Clausen was not an elite player at any level.
Clausen also had an incredibly insane SEC road record. Something like 16-1. I believe his only SEC road loss was in 2003 against Auburn.
