Geno has been quite open that he has had to change his style with the new breed of players. Here's a recent quote from freshman Mir Mclean, “He’s very wise. He’s really intelligent, and we do want to push hard,” McLean said of Auriemma. “He kind of has a way of explaining it to you before raising his voice.”

He's still sarcastic as in his comments about Paige and Azzi being famous for not doing anything.

CHW did little to advance the skills of her players, I believe Coach K is going to be much better at this

Geno as a softy is such a good example of an oxymoron. Jesus Christ sometimes reading your post or even seeing your name raises my blood pressure.

Geno himself has said that he has had to tone down his coaching forcefulness to keep from running afoul of recent trends. Jumper is correct.

They are well coached. Smesko knows what he’s doing. Arkansas is a good match for them. They play a similar brand of basketball. Their shots were really not falling against MO State yesterday. Especially early, it was ugly.

I've heard him say that several times. Also he's said that he has mellowed with age. I kinda' miss the old Geno.

Ark just took the lead 48-47 start of the 3rd FGC Morehouse lighting it up 19pts so far

South Carolina in a bit of a battle early today. Close to halftime and they are down to South Dakota. Will be interesting to see how the rest of this game plays out.
