I've always seen Trump as a marketing guy - not a builder and not an entrepreneur. Apparently to marketing types there is no such thing as bad advertising which is a pretty dumb strategy when you are going up against an opponent in a courtroom, a war, or a sporting event. First, why give away your strategy; and second, courts have always taken a dim view of trying cases outside the courtroom. Trump's circus act - particularly with Giuliani as court jester - was an incredibly stupid strategy because it detracts from the seriousness of the charges.
I can't imagine lower courts wanting to deal with charges of election fraud on such a grand scale, so they'll almost automatically get bumped and appealed. Whether the stall will keep them from an appropriate court in a timely manner remains to be seen. Roberts didn't do anybody any favors in blowing it off on the first pass.
