Doesn’t Fulmer have Covid on a holiday week? Also, I don’t believe Fulmer or any AD comes out and addresses message board fodder. Pruitt has a contract. Why say he’s coming back? His contract says that. I want him to go too but I don’t expect UT to openly address it.
I'm less focused on him making a statement or not than the idea that admin is actively paying attention to the possibility of a change. Matts402 said similar.

The early signing period needs to be pushed back into January. If a kid enrolls early on January 17th, what’s the difference in him signing on December 16th and January 8th after the All American Games?

Having an early signing period before the regular season is over basically screws over any team in the middle of a coaching search

I want Pruitt gone, but I also want to know what the coaching fraternity would think if we move on from him.

We can talk about Freeze, but if it doesn’t happen I’m not sure what top tier coach would be willing to come here when we make a move during the most unprecedented time in a literal century.

I believe it to be foolish to think that wouldn’t be looked at with an eye brow raise.

Winning important games? Nope (not in 2019-2020)
Winning easy/gimme games? Nope (not in 2019 anyway)
Players being developed, getting better each year? Nope
Offensive stats improving from year to year? Nope
Defensive stats improving from year to year? Nope
Staff coming together as a close knit unit? Nope
Staff sticking together from year to year? Nope
Playing all the young guys to give hope of future improvement? Nope

The last criteria that Pruitt could hang his hat on - recruiting at a really high level? (Yes, but troubling signs it’s about to tank).

If your last, wobbly metric for clinging to some positivity for this coaching staff is now on the ropes, maybe it’s time for a big change.
