It is pretty simple! Coach Jeremy Pruitt is not intelligent enough to understand the game. It is not CJP's fault he does does not get it!That the majority of us don’t have the money/influence to see? It just feels like there is something going on here that doesn’t meet the eye for those of us who aren’t connected. Is there booster/AD conflict? Is there state government/UT administration conflict. Is there school administration/ AD conflict. ESPN published a tell all article this week that details the situations that caused FSUs dramatic slide. It makes me wonder what’s going on behind the scenes thats gotten us to this point.
School wants to be Vandy and not Alabama and is on a woke mission.
Football is not the priority at all anymore.
Absolutely, completely false. May have been trending that way a few years ago, but you have a President that doesn’t have an academic background that is focused heavily on fundraising and athletics. You have a chancellor who was hired in part because of her experience at schools with prominent athletic programs.
The present administration here is as committed to athletics as any since the 1990s.
What’s going on behind the scenes right now? People in decision-making roles taking a very deliberate approach to the situation. Everyone knows the constant instability of the last 15 years has dug this hole, and more changes aren’t going to dig it out.
Pruitt is getting next year, that’s all but certain. If you want to say UT isn’t committed to winning based on that, you’re entitled to your opinion. But this is no longer a place that is going to be allowed to flounder because people can’t get on the same page.
I only know one person who I would describe as a high ranking administration member. They are a department head who would definitely take offense to me using a gender specific pronoun to describe them. If the rest of the administration is as obsessed with being woke as they are then I can definitely see it.
Then we are in for another rough season. Guess Saturday's being free continues in 2021.Absolutely, completely false. I agree with everything you just wrote except Pruitt..Absolutely, completely false. If Pruitt stays, any insight on what staff changes we could see next year? Would losing to Vandy change anything concerning keeping Pruitt?Absolutely, completely false. Everyone on board with CJP's raise and extension should be relived of their duties.Uh huh.
Deer....giving Pruitt an extension prior to season start and Phil getting an extension shows your comment is BS.
I have told people for years you were someone they could trust.
I cant say that anymore now.
Either they are clueless or dont care.....eitherway....the extension when it wasn't remotely needed is all the proof anyone needs.
Admission requirements were dramatically changed in 2002 by the University for accepting athletes. Don’t forget the Bensel-Meyers incident that was in Sport Magazine either. The woke march was huge. Nov 4 was overwhelming endorsement of the woke folks in Tenn. I am sure gov haslam wanted to abandon athletics in knoxville. Just like Lamar I'm sure. Which trustee members and admin staff, in 2002 and ongoing have conspired to bring us to our current level of ineptitude?
You say they thwy are "as committed to athletics as any since the 1990s."Absolutely, completely false. I mean, Fulmer was in his 5th year when he won the national championship. He had a foundation but he actually improved on the situation and made us one of the nation's most dominating programs.
Can you expound? How has it caused us to end up where we are? Has it caused too much/ too little oversight into the the ADs hiring/firing? Are we not able to take players with marginal academics like before? Is it squeezing facilities spending?
