It’s not been announced yet, so I don’t have any tweets from reporters, but I know someone inside the athletic department who said Bailey will be the starter tonight.

I’ll come back and eat crow if I’m wrong, but figured I would pass along what I know.
I stopped by the FF and saw this. I choose to believe it because I want to believe it. GBO

Here’s how this plays out. Bailey starts, makes a mistake, Pruitt pulls him for JG and after the game says something like, “he’s not ready.” Thinks this will placate the fans but it just pisses us off more.

If Bailey starts you have to play him the whole game unless he is unserviceable.

You almost have to start JG. He gives us the best chance to win.

Anybody listening to the Vol network? You'd think they would know by now who the starting QB is.

I can see the argument that you start JG just to give Bailey and the coaches a chance to see what the defense is doing, but then get Bailey in there early.

If JG is still in the game in the second quarter, and he isn't playing lights out (spoiler alert: he won't be) then this coaching staff can EAD.

Agreed. Let JG take a few lumps and then slide Bailey in for the 3rd series and let him take over
