It’s not been announced yet, so I don’t have any tweets from reporters, but I know someone inside the athletic department who said Bailey will be the starter tonight.
I’ll come back and eat crow if I’m wrong, but figured I would pass along what I know.
If true it’s the:
1. 1st step in the right direction. It should have happened after the 2nd 1/2 collapse at GA but better late than never.
2. 2nd step is playing better defense!
3. 3rd step is making better 1/2 time adjustments
4. 4th is playing loose, let it rip while having fun!
I just hope fans don’t expect him to come in and be the next big thing and light it up.
Exactly. Pruitt needs to let him work through his mistakes. Makes no sense to pull a true freshman after a mistake. It’s expected they make mistakes. If this is true and we win this game, there is no need to ever bring JG back into the fold. We need to ride HB the rest of the season because '21 is just around the corner. Also, this can't be a start for a series or two, he needs to play the whole game regardless of the outcome.
I think most of the staff has checked out on Pruitt like a good portion of the fans have as well.
I expect him to come in, play and get better as he does. Watching JG is like watching someone drive a stick shift who doesn't know how, stuck in first gear and just blowing up the engine. I wanna see HB eventually find the clutch and move into second and so on. Whenever he does, that will be better than what we've had.
I think you’re right. And it’s the one thing that could get Pruitt fired. I don’t expect it, BUT, Fulmer does have two former players on that staff. If the coaches have lost faith in the guy, those two would be the ones to have Fulmer’s ear.
