President of Minnesota Nurses Association has not been tested for COVID 19 since February. PPE still lacking

99 days to get to 1 million cases. 1 million new cases just in the past week
4.25 million tests done in minnesota for less than 6 million people. Which would be good for 25th in the world.

I dont think its resources that we are lacking.

Really? A WW2 reference. A time when a country would offer millions of young men up for death just because they didnt want to be governed by others? By people that were authoritarian.

Now we seem quite willing to commit to torpedoing our economies to the point of becoming 3rd world countries and demanding for our governments to be more authoritarian in order to prevent thousands of deaths that were likely 12 months away from happening regardless of covid.

You can do things that support a healthy economy and still wear a mask. I never mentioned anything about shutdowns. Just another snowflake excuse.
Choosing not to wear a mask on principle is soft, and also oafish. To allow something like that to be politicized, as you obviously have, shows an absurd level of indoctrination that allows any sense of fellowship to be wiped away.
Your dependence and belief they’re your savior is also soft and oafish. People have been wearing masks for months now and guess what?....... covid is still spreading like wildfire

Just think: if the Germans had been as successful as CV19 at killing Jews, the Holocaust might have only cost a few thousand lives.

Or, what if our 18-25 year olds storming the beaches of Normandy had a 99.99% chance of survival? Saving Private Ryan would have been much easier to watch.

Some of us people have been wearing masks for months now, but some of you people have not. You keep spreading the disease and talking like ignorantly defiant children.

I don’t believe they are a “savior.” Nothing is a “savior” as you put it. It’s risk mitigation... and most people need to mitigate risk within reason for the strategy to work. It can’t be sporadic or selective, it also needs to be consistent from state to state. This idea that each state in the contiguous US making separate policies for a global pandemic is quite possibly the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a long time... and I heard don don try to guess the cure for covid in a press conference.

You are one who appears willing to torpedo the economy, by letting the virus spread. How will that be good for the economy? It will be good for undertakers. Americans are being killed by covid faster than they were by all of the bullets, bombs, and diseases in World War Two. We were building huge numbers of ships, and tanks, and aircraft then. What are we producing to fight covid? How can you think that letting covid spread will be anything but disaster for the economy? Let me guess. You think everything will be ok if we all just pretend it isn't happening.

I don't feel like I ever got a great answer:

If states are really serious about limiting the spread of a virus, why the hell don't we have a few billion N95s produced and distributed after 9 months?
