Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

GOP Governor of South Dakota. Covid denier and rampant purveyor of falsehoods to downplay the virus.

And of course they are spiking and out of resources.
Maybe she can have Cuomo consult on what to do. I mean, since you are charging her with manslaughter and all.

Maybe, but it’s also a problem when propaganda convinces citizens that prioritizing your own comfort over the well-being of others is righteous.

This is quite a leap. And the leap is accepted on faith by all who agree.

You maybe , not the ones I know . If you travel to different hospitals you’ll see not everyone thinks like you do .
I’ve traveled the country working in hospitals. I’m contracted to work in 6 different ones currently. I used to work in Johnson City. Healthcare is healthcare generally speaking.

Are you shared, or PRN?

Nobody wore a mask at McRib's team dinner we hosted in our home 3 weeks ago.

I think it’s easy for some of us to forget we all live in different states with different Covid result /hospitalizations and death rates . Just because let’s say Rode island has an outbreak and high numbers in those three columns doesn’t mean I should be forced to wear a mask in Tombstone Arizona . 🤷‍♂️

No. This is incorrect.

Until the invested amounts are needed to pay benefits, the cash is intermingled with the Treasury's cash operations for the rest of the government.

So at some point in the theoretical future, it's not that the SS benefits we all put in will be insufficient, rather, the government will just have to reduce government spending elsewhere - if such need arose - and/or push the age of retirement eligibility higher (likely).
We already run a trillion+ dollar deficit. We arent decreasing spending.

And you know it's not going to stop in equilibrium right? They will continue to pull money out of the pot. As that pot gets smaller, and as population grows we will decrease the reserves faster and faster. Which necessitates cutting SS payouts, raising the age, or increasing taxes.

None of which explains how it isnt a ponzi scheme.

You’re not a healthcare worker. Move along.
LOL ok, please don't tell the various hospital departments Ive worked with for 14 years, or the healthcare conferences with hospital systems across the US including from your state, to talk about innovative ways to improve safety, self-medicating patients, workplace violence, nursing satisfaction, and physician education.

But hey I didn't change a bedpan like you did or something

Ah, so just another BS LG rant.

for context - the range of deaths/million residents is a low of 95 (Vermont) to a high of 1885 (New Jersey). The median is 584 (Tennessee). S. Dakota is at 728. There are 20 states with a higher death/million count than S. Dakota but LG has decided the murderer is the gov of S. Dakota. FYI, Gretchen W is presiding over a state with 852/million.

A quick Google shows that CNN just wrote an editorial about this - at least we know where LG gets his outrage fuel.
