I wear a mask at work and when I go in stores.

Loss of freedom is not political, it is a very real issue for those of us that value it. We don't trust socialist/leftist state or national government to relinquish their new found control thanks to millions of coward sheep..but you can keep bending over for your taskmaster if you want.
You mistake minor inconvenience/discomfort for a real loss of freedom. Spare everyone the slippery slope garbage, sometimes it’s just flat land.

Choosing not to wear a mask on principle is soft, and also oafish. To allow something like that to be politicized, as you obviously have, shows an absurd level of indoctrination that allows any sense of fellowship to be wiped away.
You didn't ask me but I will offer why I have dug in my heels.

If the order(s) stayed at masking, I may have been more compliant. For the record, I haven't refused to wear and been kicked out of any establishment. But the orders didn't stop there and It became political when it wasn't enough. The outdoor events were canceled unless it was a protest ( a political decision). Religious groups in NYC are being targeted. And now, governors are telling people how they can gather in their own home. The mask is a symbol of safety, a symbol of compliance, and unfortunately is it now a symbol of resistance.

I haven’t mentioned lockdowns at all, so you must direct that frustration elsewhere.

Then take it as an expansion of your base knowledge and food for thought . I’m just spitting facts , I’m not worried about a damn mask . A mask never took money from me , the government has . Priorities . People not wearing masks isn’t causing governments to shut down private business or take away our rights .

It’s only a symbol if you allow it to be. For those of us in healthcare, it’s a practical reality that idiots are losing their mind over. It’s a simple ask.

A government restricted and limited by our constitution shutting down private business and religious gatherings is more than an inconvenience.

Your job comes with demands. My liberty does not. It is a simple ask. It is a simple answer in reply, too.

I don't see anyone losing their minds over being asked to wear a mask by private business. I see people saying enough is enough because of the government mandates and orders.

You choose to ignore percentages and instead bend the knee to a government that has blown this way out of proportion based on those percentages .
You face percentages, my coworkers and I face sick patients. I appreciate the differences that perspectives afford us.
