Hes a really good DC. Not so much as a head coach. Happens all the time some guys are just not cut out to be head coaches. He should just take the money and be a career coordinator. No shame in being really good on one side of the ball .

That's not even close - he basically beat Auburn - and his record in the first 7 games are against Florida, Auburn, and South Carolina instead of against 3 cupcakes. Their worse loss is by 16 against Florida,
ours is by 31, and then by 27. Ole Miss average points for and against are 41 and 41. Our average points for are 20 and points against are 31 and they have played Florida and Auburn which we still have to play.

I like what he is doing in year 1, way more than what we are doing in year 3.

He is losing. You are what your record says you are. Doesn’t matter how many points you score or how many yards you rack up. A loss is a loss.

Kiffin is 3-4 in year 1

Luke was 3-4 in year 1

Which is ironic because you wouldn't be able to hire him as a DC if he had succeeded. I guess most would rather have someone who has proven that they deserve a HC shot.

Since he's on a buyout that offsets his pay by the amount he earns elsewhere, we could give him a back-loaded bamabutch salary of $35,000 for the first few years until his buyout expires.

No, dumb idea. Kiffin has never had success as HC except for that little Florida school. He also will jump ship the first time he had an offer from a school he likes more than UT.

Kiffen will never get another shot at coaching at Tennessee. He’s told many people off the record that leaving was the biggest mistake of his life.
You grow up from your mistakes. I don’t think he will ever be given another shot hear but I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
