For anyone else out there hoping to snag a PS5 sometime before 2022, it's worth noting that Sony does not intend for there to be any in-store, walk-up sales of units at launch. Stores may have extra inventory not allocated to preorders, and I'm sure that there's no way every single retailer in the country is going to adhere to this "mandate," but the general idea is that you'll need to order/pay for the system online and schedule an in-store pickup. This isn't necessarily earth-shattering news given how rare the consoles stretching back to PS2 have been at launch, but it does largely (if not entirely) kill the notion of you camping outside of Best Buy or stumbling across a freshly-stocked console in Target.

Walmart will be releasing consoles every three hours starting at noon EST on launch day (11/12), though my assumption is that this refers to orders that would be fulfilled directly from Walmart's warehouses and that you should probably try looking for in-store pickup options as well.

The good news though is the 30fps now runs very stable. No more frame drops like we had on PS4/PS4 Pro.

You probably have a leg up on the rest of us, did you get to mess around with it yet? Mine's sitting at a UPS facility in Knoxville and I'm skeptical about it getting on a truck and then to my house by the end of the day.

Games are still installing. First impressions. Really like the controller. Console was super easy to set up. You can use the app to set it up while its doing its initial update. Its super quiet so far, although I haven't played any games yet.

Will report back later with some more feedback.

Did anyone get the series S? I will probably get that one since I don't play as much as I used too and I don't have a 4k TV. Just want to know how much better it is than the xbox one?

Why the need to throw in a bunch of politics? Strange.

A good friend of mine got his PS5 today. He's blow away by the Archery in Astro's Playhouse. He says the haptic triggers are better than sex.

PS5 console looks stupid to me. Wish they had gone a different direction than that strange looking thing. I think the XBOX looks better.

My amazon PS5 is out for delivery. The Walmart unit is with Fed Ex being delivered tomorrow.

I like it standing vertically. However horizontally it does look weird!
