But, what did the offense look like before Pruitt's alleged involvement? Wouldn't we be mad if the offense sucked but the head coach didn't try to interject somehow?
I think Pruitt's appointments following the initial staff have been poor, sadly. And it has not been due to lack of money to throw at the problem.
Posters on this board were proclaiming this an “asterisk season”. Knew that wouldn’t hold up with the fans and stated such. Never imagined it would even come into play for this program this season.Nobody gets a “throw away year” there are a hundred other teams playing hard just like it’s a normal season. That’s ridiculous on Pruitts part.
I was venting as well, homie. And I agree with everything you said in this post. I’m not defending the man. I’m still not sure where a lot are getting that I’m trying to carry water for the man. I’m pissed the f*** off like the rest of you. I was referring to those that are attacking his character was really what I meant.
VQ pod sounds like Pruitt has lost the team. It is definitely time to make a change. We’re going to see a mass exodus if we don’t come new transfer rule. And it will be our most talented players transferring out not the interns left overs
it's all relative. i wouldn't call either of htem difference makers at that position. that they've out performed their ranking or whatever is nice, but if we had gotten some of hte elite talent we really targeted, both of those guys are rotational players, good ones i'd add, but neither are relied upon to be "the guy"....Pass rush isn't the main problem. Bennett and Johnson have played above their rankings. Secondary is the problem, and a LB spot is probably another one.
Love hiring SC’s rejectsThis is going to sound crazy - but if USCj fires Muschamp & Co I could definitely see Pruitt hiring Muschamp and Bobo. They're friends, Friend and Bobo were together at Colorado State, Muschamp's nephew is already on staff at UT.
This idea is not my own - Dan Harrelson published an article that mentioned it on VolsWire.
i think they concede Slaughter isn't necessarily fast enough yet for what they want, but he did start the first game, and has vanished since. Not sure on timing. However, the VQ guys did sound concerned about the potential new transfer rule, didn't they? Lack of playing time for some of the younger players has been a common theme with the VQ guys for at least a couple weeks now. Apparently, it is a known fact that some of those players are more talented and have something to offer, but they are not getting a chance to play. Players like Slaughter, Wideman, Callaway, Holiday, and Joseph are consistently mentioned.
I disagree, this is not who we "just are", every team has ups and downs. Those from the 80's, 90's & early 2000's were just spoiled with those teams. We just have to find the right guy to get us back on the winning side of things. Bama experienced it between Stallings and Saban. We will be back and everyone will remember and appreciate who we truly are.I tend to think this is just what we are. And it makes me sad.

and nothing from Keyshawn Lawrence? Omari Thomas? Eason? McDonnald? other one of htat group who's name escapes me right now?
i dont' expect any of those kids to be world beaters at the moment, but i don't see the point in not playing a lot of these kids at this point. we most certainly should be in develomental mode now....jmo.

i don't even have an issue with that...practice is important. but put them under the lights some and see what they do. put it on film. give them something to work on against somebody other than the team mates they practice against every day....They were bragging on Eason and mcdonnald a couple of weeks ago...now nothing!,..ver strange lol I don’t even think practice is fun for them but apparently that’s where it matters most.
Florida fired a coach halfway through his third year after he won the East in each of his first two seasons. They had a coach they wanted and they went out and got him and now they are title contenders. Tennessee, however, sits on their hands hoping things will work out.
