That's dead man walking stuff right there. You tell the people you hired and those around the program that if it doesn't work out you can go back to Bama and you are the Tennessee head coach? Add in you are three years in and you have no leaders to replace guys like JJ and Warrior. You fire an assistant coach after 4 games and don't have a replacement other than yourself. To go with 88-7 in the last four second halves - so zero ability to make adjustments at halftime.

Have some pride, UTAD. Fire this clown.

Sounds like it doesn’t matter, even if he does that. Based on what AV said, we could Saban himself as our coach and we would still struggle. Have no idea what is going on within the network of TN, its admin, and its boosters, but it sounds like a mess and a joke. It’s sad. They are a laughingstock and have made our football program a laughingstock.

Like I said it’s blown out of proportions it’s just a comment about having a fall back option and it’s one we all have know because it’s obvious.


I’m not defending Pruitt I want his ass gone but that quote from Hubbs isn’t significant in the least imo

You mean when they were dropping 8 deep in prevent defense and he checked down to the running back 4 times in a row?

Comon'. Don't be intentionally ignorant by referencing his passing yards on that drive, as if every high school QB in the country couldn't do that.

It's obvious Pruitt was right. JG still gives us our best chance to win. Is that a complete indictment on the coaching staff? Of course. Does that mean HB can't quickly surpass JG with a little experience? We better hope it doesn't.

But regardless, of the 3 QBs to hit the field, JG was the best of the bunch. That's just obvious.

It is because failure shouldn’t be part of his mindset. It damn sure shouldn’t be something he says out loud to people

@Atlanta VOL, I appreciate the info you bring to the board, I really do. But I think Kingston has a point here, how do we separate the dysfunction from someone who may be in over their head? I understand that things that go on behind the scene would contribute to the overall tenor in the building, but this guy has been given more than any of his predecessor's and failed to provide a return on the additional investment. It makes Dooley and Butch look that much better because they can say their record was without the additional investment that Pruitt has.

I'm curious as to what could possibly be going on in the administration that would directly correlate to the coaches being so apathetic and the players seemingly regressing. Even if morale was damaged, wouldn't an individuals sense of pride keep them from just 'laying down'? Maybe I'm just not able to fathom what could possibly attributing to the overall culture in the building, however whatever it is can't directly correlate to players not being developed properly, or ready to play from an emotional standpoint can it? I would think if there was some sort of internal issue it would galvanize the coaches and players to do better, to rally around each other in an "us against the world" type mentality.

Unless the issue lies within CJP or his relationship with his staff directly? But then to Kingston's point, are the issues in play self inflicted by someone who's not fully grasping the HC role of an SEC program?

If what Hubbs said is true then even if we had the players and resources to beat Bama, I'm not sure we ever would. I can't see Pruitt celebrating a win over Bama while coaching Tennessee.

I disagree


First time head coaches need to do things with the freedom of fear of failing. Especially if their is a former head coach as AD meddling into your practices and everyday activities
