I think it was pretty demoralizing for everyone to watch Maurer come in and prove Pruitt right that JG... inexplicably... Actually does give us the best chance to win of any of our four QBs.
I don’t know how you came to this when you saw Bailey put up more yards in one series than JG did in 3 quarters.

People also forget we have extremely different dynamics at UT than at most other SEC schools. Donor in fighting....administration not wanting athletics to drive conversations on decisions...Academics that would rather see our football team fail than succeed......AD that only has partial internal support...A head coach that really has not been given everything he has asked for....an AD that likes to control things way more than people know...I could go on and on.

But until everyone at UT is on the same page and wanting the same goals...it DOESNT MATTER WHO YOU BRING IN....you will still have these same issues. The big names are also fully aware of these dynamics at UT hence why we don’t have big name coaches knocking at our door to come here when the job opens up.
Great! I just knew we still weren’t all rowing in the same direction up there. Just pull the plug on this program, boys! We are officially the lower tier of the SEC forever! Even Papa Phil can’t even unite everyone and mend all the fences. We will never be elite again. Just face the facts now, and we will be able to swallow a little easier as the chicken crap continues to be dished out to us in heaping quantities! Let’s hope we can be elite in basketball, because that’s the only chance we get to have any excitement with Tennessee sports anymore!

HB was put into a tough situation as a fr. Making check downs to a RB vs a prevent defense that ranks close to the top in takeaways, was good decision making. He clearly looked down field and made the best decision. He had us in scoring range with about 30 seconds on the clock. Had we chose to kick a FG earlier......

I don’t understand how we can be somewhat enjoyable to watch in the second half of 2019 and then one year later it is like we’re not even playing the same sport as everyone else. I feel like I have to clock in before I watch these damn games, I’m really more confused than anything else

Or, Pruitt just ain’t all that.

He’s been given plenty.

On top of any coaching deficiencies, we lost the guys on the team that made the 2019 team what they were. Which was gritty.
